29. @ Future Internet Assembly conf., Ghent 2010-12-14 ” Future Internet Research and Experimentation By Adopting Living Labs – towards Smart Cities ” Living Labs and Smart Cities: Open innovation for the Future Internet – Session: Towards Future Internet: what can it mean for Living Labs and Smart Cities Moderator: Michael Nilsson, CDT Project Coordinator FIREBALL
30. Session objectives. To reflect on “Smart Cities” as centres for user driven open innovation, using Future Internet technology in a user-friendly way to enable a truly knowledge-based society. New technologies can be used in developing new public services. Through the usage of Living Labs methodologies in the city, successful concepts can be identified, and user co-creation can enhance the innovation process, resulting in successful and sustainable services.
