This workshop will provide an in-depth review of global youth action on tobacco. Cat will share key experiences from Canada, and from Ottawa specifically, that ties this youth action directly to smoke-free workplace policies. We will also share examples of ongoing youth actions from around the world, and opportunities for participants to get more involved in global collaborations like the GYAT Network. We talked a bit about youth action yesterday, and you had a chance to watch some video of youth taking action around the world. Today we are going to into a lot more detail and talk about some specific campaigns, how youth went through the steps of organizing them, and what happened as a result. Cat will share her first hand experience working as a youth advocate, and then as a staff member, at exposé. So, get ready for some exciting stories of youth leaders taking action to change their communities and fight back against the tobacco industry!
