1. In the third quarter, the global average connection
speed decreased 2.8% to 4.5 Mbps, while the global
peak connection speed decreased 2.3% to 24.8 Mbps.
Japan joined South Korea and Hong Kong to give Asia-
Pacific the top three spots in the average connection speed
metric globally and regionally, while India had the lowest
at 2.0 Mbps. Hong Kong had the highest peak speed
regionally and globally at 84.6 Mbps peak connection
speed, while India had the lowest peak speed in the
region at 13.9 Mbps.

In the Asia-Pacific region, South Korea had the highest average connection speed at 18.2 Mbps, while Iran had the lowest at 0.9 Mbps. The highest peak
connection speed was in Singapore at 98.0 Mbps, while the lowest peak connection speed was seen in Iran at 3.3 Mbps. Japan had the highest mobile
broadband adoption rate in the Asia Pacific region at 86% above 4 mbps, while Vietnam had the lowest at 0.4% above 4mbps.

SECURITY: ATTACK TRAFFIC
Observed attack traffic concentration from the Asia Pacific region saw a slight decrease to just under 65% of observed attacks. The concentration in
the Asia Pacific region was more than 6x the volume seen from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
