Angry Birds, produced by the games company, Rovio
Entertainment, is widely regarded as one of the most popular
and best selling apps ever made, with over 12 million copies
purchased from the app store. The addictiveness comes from
its simplicity, each level consisting of a building containing pigs
that must be knocked down in order to defeat the pigs. The
further the player progresses, the harder the levels. The game
has also received numerous spinoffs in recent years, both
within the angry birds universe and completely separate from
it altogether.
The paid version of Angry Birds costs 99 Cents, however there
is also a free version.

4. Snapchat
2:Social- SnapChat
Four university students at Stanford University
developed Snapchat in 2011. The app allows
users to take photos, record videos, add text or
drawing, and send them to a recipient, shortly
afterwhich they are deleted from the recipients
device. It has proven popular as a substitute for
traditional text based chatting applications, such
as facebook. Snap chat is a free app.
6. AP Mobile
3:AP Mobile
AP Mobile is a news application that draws its
information from a variety of media sources
worldwide. As it does this, the information
displayed is not as biased as other news
organisations i.e. Fox News. Has a very simple
interface, headlines displayed in a column and
expanded when the user taps on them. Users can
share articles with others and edit what news they
receive. The app, like most news apps, is free.

8. Google Maps Navigation
GMN is a navigation app that uses the
functionality of google maps. The app also
makes use of the Telenav GPS program, which
makes the phone double up as a satnav.
The locator/map is free, but the Telenav feature
is paid for via subscriptions.
