BE RESPONSIBLE Come to class ready to learn No cell phones, MP3 players, toys, distractions Listen to teacher directions and try your best to follow them It is okay to ask questions – respectfully We are the same as your classroom teacher Use equipment / materials carefully (as if it was yours or your parents) Wear the correct shoes / clothes for PE Return your library books No food or gum in class Don’t spit on the blacktop

RULES cont… RESTROOM Go at recess time If necessary, 1 student at a time Trade 5 min of recess to use restroom during class time Use restroom responsibly CLASS PROCEDURES Never leave class or vision of teacher without her knowing Class is not dismissed until we dismiss you Have a schedule of when we’ll meet the classroom teacher will remind you

PLAYGROUND RULES Tetherball DO NOT TOUCH OUTSIDE OF RECESS TIME Comes down for 2 weeks Play within Stonebrae school rules OR don’t play Challenger serves Winner picks direction Step on line while waiting – end of the line 1st person judges Out if: rope, tree top, liner, pole, tethered, stopping ball, catching ball, double hits, 3 consecutive games 4 Square 1st person serves – diagonally Out if; step on line, ball bounces in square and don’t hit into another square, catch ball, throw ball, hit ball outside of game or on line, hit with a fist, spin ball

PLAYGROUND cont… EQUIPMENT Borrow it = RETURN IT There are no refills No kicking of ANY ball on the playground Only on field Equipment from home needs to be used according to school rules – taken away for 1 week or more depending You bring it = you’re responsible for it It gets lost, stolen, broken – school is not responsible for it Stop playing at the bell and carry to line and thru hall Misuse somebody’s equipment – you might be held responsible for replacing it
