The Voucher System
Volunteers obtain a signed voucher
from the organization at the end of
their volunteer time each shift they
volunteer
If using Memorial Hourly Care,
volunteers submit completed/signed
vouchers to Memorial when picking
up child(ren). Volunteers are not
responsible for payment for
volunteer time
If using off-post Preschool/Home
Child Care, volunteers submit
completed/signed vouchers to care
provider for their signature.
Volunteers then submit the
completed voucher back to the
organization. A check will be sent
directly to the volunteer.
The Caveats!
• VSF will reimburse up to $150
per month per volunteer
• VSF will reimburse up to $4
per hour per child (current
CYSS rate)
• Volunteers must be
approved/registered on VMIS
• 15 minute travel time to and
from (total of 30 minutes)
automatically added to shift
• Home Care givers must be at
least 13 years old and not a
member of volunteer’s
immediate family
• Vouchers must be submitted
to VSF before the end of the
month
