Blogger was used in the overall construction of our work, we used this website in
order to piece all our tasks together and order them into the different parts of our
project. One of the good things about blogger is it can be accessed from not only
college but also at home which meant work could be finished and updated as we
went along.
•
The website allowed us to embed various other things such as videos, as well as
presentations made using ‘prezi’ and documents from ‘slideshare’. Creating a wider
variety of programs and software used to add to our project.
•
Each stage we went through was as detailed as possible to show the journey
towards our final product, detailing everything we did such as drafts, planning
among other things.
4. •
Both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint were used to present and
document tasks such as various analysis and also our risk assessment.
Word was the first thing we thought of to use as it’s very reliable and
the format means it can be uploaded to slideshare, which then in turn
gets posted onto our blog, which is the only downfall of blogger and
Microsoft office, they can not be transferred over straight away,
instead they have to be converted into slideshare to be embedded on
the post.
•
PowerPoint was used in a number things such as this evaluation, it
creates a presentation style format which means multiple things can
be addressed throughout the PowerPoint.
•
Slideshare was a great website to use to transfer over Word and
PowerPoint documents to our blogger, creating an easy and simple
way in which to view them without any problems.
5. •
These two social networking sites were crucial in audience feedback towards our
final cut and also other aspects of our work, during our early planning and research
we used a questionnaire made available by Google docs, however we needed more
detailed responses engaging a much wider audience.
•
Not only do these two sites mean people can ‘like’ or ‘favourite’ but it meant they
could also reply and comment on our product to give us a better idea of what we
did really well or what could have been done better. Also the option is available to
those viewing the product to privately message us with their reaction and feedback
which could help us greatly.
•
Using both sites widened the audience massively as those without one could
maybe see it on the other and be aware of it, we also used techniques to promote
the video by mentioning it multiple times to get people’s attention therefore letting
them view and then comment on the final product.
6. •
Photoshop was key in making most of our images used in product,
such as for the digipak, the poster to go with the final video cut also.
We also used it to create our record label logo among various other
things. We decided to use Photoshop for the amount of choice when
editing and for the vast amount of tools at our disposal also.
•
With the photographs we shot for whilst doing the photo shoot we
could incorporate them into the style of our advert which was very
similar to that of the other products we made, creating a level of
consistency throughout with the detailing on our packaging and so
on.
7. •
Both YouTube and Google were vital in our research and also planning,
YouTube helped us to research other music videos from our genre and take
ideas from then to use on our own, following the conventions very closely to
make sure we adhere to the genre.
•
Google was key in finding out certain things in order to produce different
aspects of our product, providing answers to questions we had and making it
easy for us to search around for lyrics and music videos to watch and take ideas
from.
8. •
Prezi was a very useful piece of software that we could use in order to
present different parts of our research, planning and also evaluation.
The fact it is such an easy piece of software to use made it easier for us
to put across information in another form instead of doing it all in one
format, this meant we could widen our use of presentation. With the
wide variety of selection of presentation we could fully customize how
exactly the information was put across.

Final Cut was probably the most important piece of software that we used
as it helped create the final product which was our music video. We chose
to use this because we had used it in the first year and were somewhat
comfortable with it, using it a second year furthered our knowledge when
using it, helping us to develop our skills with it making a much more
professional piece with things added which may have been too difficult
when we first started using it.
