Most of us look forward to the warm days and the long
weekends that we tend to take during the summer.
Maybe you should spend the first three-day weekend of
the season at your favorite beach. The Carolinas provide
some excellent beach vacation spots.
Wrightsville Beach Headed to Wilmington, NC for a
weekend getaway? You are only five miles from
Wrightsville Beach. You may even choose to fly into
Wilmington International Airport, which is only twelve
miles away. Bring the family topsail island rentals along for an unforgettable adventure of paddle
boarding, scuba, surfing, and many more activities. You may even decide to charter a boat to do
some fishing around Topsail Island and Wrightsville Beach.
Bald Head Island Would you like to vacation in NC and be surrounded by water? Head over to Bald
Head Island. You won't have to worry about a vehicle since transportation around Bald Head is
limited to golf carts, bicycles, or "Pat and Charlie" (your own two feet). You will get to enjoy 14 miles
of sand and surf and spend restful evenings in your own cottage.
Myrtle Beach Along our beach trek, we cross into South Carolina and stop at Myrtle Beach. This is a
quite famous championship golf resort and beach recreation area. While Dad plays golf, Mom can
take the kids on a dolphin watch, paddle boarding, and jet skis for older kids and parents. If you had
rather fish, there are many rivers, creeks and marshes, plus the intracoastal waterway.

2. Hilton Head Traveling farther along
the South Carolina coastline we come
across another quite famous vacation
area - Hilton Head. Here you will find
more world-class golf courses and
pristine beaches. Family fun at Hilton
Head includes dolphin watch nature
cruises, guided trail rides, and many
other activities. For adult fun you can
choose from a variety of restaurants
and lounges featuring entertainment
ranging from live bands to comedy.
