1. They would have to pry it from my cold dead hands!
I am paraphrasing the words of one great American, the late CharlstonHeston, President of the National Rifle
Association from 1998 to 2003. I am very proud to be a Life Member of that Organization.
Born in Cuba(a country where there are no liberties),when I became a U.S. Citizen several years ago,I was
impressed by the legacy of the founding fathers of our Nation. The founding fathers undeniable left us aninsuperable
mark in our Constitution.
Since the senselessmurders in Newtown, Conn, in the mist of vicious attacks on the Second Amendment rights by
many politicians and gun hating groups, we must stand up and reject any attempt to curb the rights granted to us by our
Constitution.
As a responsible 86 year old gun owner, I proudly own the gun I am holding in the picture shown above. Beside
my constitutional rights, I believe that under the attack of vicious criminals, simply calling 911 whilehiding under a bed
waiting for help that certainly will arrive too late, or begging for mercy from a violent criminal are not my best options.
Instead, I chose to be prepared to fight back.
My AK-47 is not an “assault” weapon, and a magazine with a small capacity may notbe sufficient under an invasion of
my home by criminals. On the contrary, it is a “defense” weapon, whose only intent is to protect myself, my family and my
property.
In response to the anti-gun movement I will say as CharlstonHeston did: -“Whomever try to take it away from
me,will have to pry it from my cold dead hands!”.
