In her spare time

Brooke is in her first year
of university and she is
studying media. When
she is older she would
like to work for a
magazine company, so
she attempts to buy a
couple magazines every
now and then.
Her favourite magazine
is Mixmag, as it keeps
her updated with most
of the latest music she
hears in clubs. Seen as
her university, Brooke
only has a part time
job. She works as a
sales assistant in HMV
on Sundays and earns
£5 an hour. Her parents
pay for her university
and provide her with
food and essentials so
she likes to buys all
other stuff such as
clothes, magazines and
music with the money
she has earns.
She spends most of her
money on Itunes music
for her phone and her
Ipod so she can listen to
music on the go. She also
spends it on clothes
similar to the ones she
sees celebrities wearing
on magazines to look
good when she is
clubbing. She saves £4.20
a month for a magazine.

2. The name of my music magazine is “BOUNCE” which is a short, snappy and therefore easy to
remember. My magazine would be ideal for Brooke as it is a dance style music magazine
targeted at 17-27 year olds who go to clubs and enjoy listening to the latest music they hear in
clubs.
“BOUNCE” comes out once every month and costs £3.50, it is slightly pricey, but is reasonable
for what you get. It will keep her up to date with the latest music, fashion, and will also tell her
which clubs are currently the best. The colours I have used are pink which appeals to females
like Brooke, also a green/ blue colour which attracts the males and white which is a natural
colour and links the other two together.
The mode of address of my magazine is informal , which is easy to read and makes the
magazine more relatable for target audience. It’s straight to the point giving you a brief
summary of all the key information. This is due to the audience not wanting to read very
detailed and descriptive paragraphs, they are simply after the key elements.
