20. 1. Register
● You can locate your voice.
● Throat, it is from where most of us speak.
● If you want weight, you go down the chest. We
associate depth with power and authority.
21. 2. Timbre
● It is the way our voice feels.
● We prefer voices which are rich, smooth and warm.
● But if it is not your voice, it is not the end of the world.
● You can train, get a voice coach.
● You can do postures, breath and exercise to improve it
22. ● This is the sing-song , the meta language. Its add
meaning.
● Not being monotonous, is talking with prosody.
● Sometimes, its “repetitive prosody” in which every
statement is a question.
● This restricts your ability to express.
3. Prosody
23. ● We fasten up when we get excited.
● We slow down when we want to emphasize on
something.
● Our old friend, SILENCE! You don’t have to fill all
the voids with ums and uhs. Silence is powerful.
4. Pace
24. ● You can add meaning with pitch.
● We say “I don’t like the pitch of her voice”. That’s
that.
● You can be effective speaker, if you pitch correctly.
5. Pitch
25. ● You can be very impactful if you have a loud voice, or
you get all serious and listening by lowering it.
● Well, don’t broadcast always. That’s SODCASTING.

28. Voice is like an
engine, it needs
to be warmed up
before you start
your speech.
29. 1. Arms up(like a V), deep breath in and
sigh out like “ahhhhhh” with the
hands going down.( 2 or 3 times)
1. Warming up lips. Roll in both your
lips in and say “ba”. Do this 20 times.
1. Now, “brrrrrrrrrrrrr” just like a kid.
Your lips will come alive.
30. 4. Exaggerate with “la la la la la la la…”
5.Simply roll an R like “Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”.
That’s like champagne for the tongue.
6. Finally we have our special one! It is
called the “siren”. It starts with “we” and
goes to “aw”. The “we” is high and “aw” is
low.
So you go “weeeeaawww”,“weeeeaawww”.
