1. BIOGRAFIA DE MARIA OLIVA MENA VERGARA
MARIA OLIVA MENA VERGARA, nació en el Municipio de Sipí Corregimiento
de Cañaveral departamento del Chocó, el 12 de junio de 1960, en el hogar
conformado por JOSÉ ELADIO MEN A CRUZ (Q.E.P.D.) y MARÍA ANTONIA
VERGARA, es la mayor de 10 hermanos.
Sus estudios primarios los realizo en la Escuela Rural Mixta Santa Teresita de
Cañaveral, donde vivió parte de su niñez. Sus estadios secundarios los realizo
en el Colegio Integrado Carrasquilla de la ciudad de Quibdó, donde se gradúo
como Bachiller Académico, ciudad donde ha vivido la mayor parte de su vida.
En el año 1997 ingreso a la Universidad Tecnológica del Chocó, donde obtuvo
el titulo de Licenciada en Básica Primaria.
Además ha realizado cursos de secretariados, informática, técnica judicial,
entre otros, en el SENA SECCIONAL CHOCO y en el COLEGIO TECNICO
COMERCIAL DE QUIBDO.
En el año 1988, se desempeño como personera en el municipio de Sipi por un
periodo de 2 años; luego en el año 1992 trabajo como secretaria en la oficina
del Abogado Gumersindo Palacios Mosquera; después en el 1998 laboro en
las oficinas de los Abogados Jesús Horacio Moreno, Ely Gomes y Yuber
Ordoñez hasta el año 2002, de igual forma laboro en la Defensoría del
pueblo de Quibdó como secretaria en el año 2003.
Desde el año 2004 se desempeña como docente al servicio del departamento
del Choco, en el municipio del Medio Baudó corregimiento de Arenal.
Actualmente se encuentra realizando una Especialización en Administración
de la informática educativa en la Universidad Santander Sede Quibdó donde
aspira graduarse como Especialista en Administración de la informática
educativa.

2. BIOGRAPHY OF MARIA OLIVA MENA VERGARA
María Oliva Mena Vergara was born in Cañaveral, Sipí, department of Chocó
– Colombia, on July 12, 1960, in the home conformed by José Eladio Mena
Cruz and María Antonia Vergara. She is the oldest of ten brothers.
She studied her elementary school in the rural Mixed School Santa Teresita of
Cañaveral, place where she lived part of her childhood; the secondary
education in the integrated high school Carrasquilla of Quibdó, in this city she
has lived the most of her life.
In 1.997, olive got into Diego Luis Córdoba University, where she graduated
in basic primary.
Besides she has done several courses in secretarial, computers, judicial
technique, and so on. She did these studies in the Sena – Chocó and
Commercial High School of Quibdó.
In 1.988, she was the Legal Representative of the municipality of Sipí for two
years. After in 1.992 worked as a secretary in the office of the lawyer
Gumercindo Palacios Mosquera, from 1998 to 2.002 with the lawyers Jesús
Horacio Moreno, Elí Gomez and Yuber Ordoñez; in 2.003 Oliva worked in the
Defender of the Town as a secretary too.
From 2.004 Oliva works as a teacher in the department of Chocó in the
Municipality of Medio Baudo.
Actually, she is studying a specialization in administration of the education
computing.
