would have wondered how people managed to set up such brilliant shows. Every tiny detail from your
entering the venue to your going out is a result of rigorous planning well…that’s event management for you.
Event management, the most profound form of advertising and marketing is a glamorous and thrilling
profession. It provides an opportunity for unleashing one’s creative potential to a very high degree. It
demands a lot of hard work and effort but at the same time offers enormous scope.
Event management is the process of organizing a professional and focused event, for a particular target
audience. It involves visualizing concepts, planning, budgeting, organizing, and executing events such as
fashion shows, musical concerts, corporate seminars, exhibitions, wedding celebrations, theme parties,
product launching, etc.
Event Management is a multi-million dollar industry, growing rapidly, with mega shows and events hosted
regularly. Surprisingly, there is no formalized research conducted to access the growth of this industry. The
industry includes fields such as the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, and Events), exhibitions, conferences, and
seminars as well as live music and sports events.
The logistics side of the industry is paid less than the sales/sponsorship side, though some may say that
these are two different industries.

An event is a live multimedia package carried out with

specially gathered target audience by providing at complete experience

8. MY ROLE IN THE
EVENT
28th January 2022 first day of my internship at Taneesh Creation. I was a little bit nervous but at the same
moment excited too coz this was my first event. I was told to serve their company in production. I had some
knowledge about the production department and it’s time to take this opportunity and decided to serve in
the production department for the company.
This group team was very supportive and helpful. my job was in the production Department and Hospitality
management. Under the guidance of the operation specialist MR. DHEERAJ GUPTA. I had learned many
things about the production department and hospitality management, With the help of a team. And I got
experienced a lot of new things. How to set up all the decorations, props, and Gust management more
things. And insecurity, I got knowledge about how to control and manage the crowds of audiences. how to
develop creative ideas in the event industry.

The term "management" characterizes the process of the personnel leading and directing all or part of an
organization through the deployment and manipulation of resources (human, financial, material, intellectual or
intangible). According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word "manage“ comes from the Italian word maggiore
(to handle). Management has to do with power by position, whereas leadership involves power by influence.

Social event: Event management of private events like birthdays, weddings, birthdays and
Wedding anniversaries, or other family events. Private events are celebrations with family
members and friends.
MICE: Meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) is a type of tourism in
which large groups, usually planned well in advance, are brought together.
Live events: Live performance events include theater, music, dance, and opera.
Charity events: A Charity or fundraising event (also called a fundraiser) is an event or campaign whose primary purpose is to
raise money for a cause, charity, or non-profit organization.
Exhibitions and tradeshow: An exhibition for companies in a specific industry to showcase and demonstrate their new
products and services. Generally, trade shows are not open to the public and can only be attended by company
representatives and members of the press.

This industry is just 5 years old in India but holds a lot of promise for expansion. It offers enormous

area that is proliferating and is expected to have a better growth rate in the next decade. Typical
