 Developing Assertive communication Skills.
 Developing Active Listening Skills.
 The purpose of this Workshop is to teach the students
that how they can communicate their massage clearly
and unambiguously.
 Techniques and Practices to improve communication.
 Most of the time It has been observed that Students do
have concept but they are unable to communicate, so
after this Workshop they would be able to find out
problems and then improve.
1. Session learning outcomes.
2. Key Concept & Content.
3. Basic fundamentals.
4. Learning Activities.
5. Assessment.
Session Time: 11:00 to 12:30
 Whatever speaker says whether audience understand
or not, relevant or not, fulfill the need or not.
these are all the examples of Communications.
 Effective communication when Sender receive the
desire response from receiver/audience.
1. Session Learning outcomes:
Students will be able to understand communication
& effective communication in manner way.
2. Key Concepts and Content:
1.1 What is Communication?
Understanding is the essence of Communication. In
a simple words we can define Communication as If
we know how to make other understand what we
are will to, is the Communication.
 In this Activity Students have to communicate in groups
that what they have learnt in the first Session.
 Different Background Students will explain differently.
 Then we will ask other students to tell which Groups
explain more clearly, so the result would be in front of
them.

5. Assessment.
Session Time: 12:30 to 2:00
 Session Learning Objectives
Student will be empowered to communicate the massage
with proper Body language.
 Key Concepts and Content
Students will be guided regarding good and bad body
language which can convey the good and bad impression
on Audience.
1. Active Listening not hearing only.
2. Avoid Interruption.
3. Avoid rejection.
4. Avoid Creating distortion.
5. Do not use unnecessary fillers.
6. Try to clear ambiguity before you speak.
7. Do not use Short foams like PFA, FYI, FYNA etc.
8. Normal your Tone so the receiver understand easily.
9. Avoid being sarcastic.
Difference b/t Listening & Hearing:
We hear many sounds around us which is not related to us
that we do not need to respond.
But In Listening, we have to response on what we are
listening to. So be a good listener instead of hearer.
 Student Volunteer will be required first.
 According to Instructor instruction, she/he will make
different Body language.
 Students will be asked if they like then why ? And
same if they do not, then why?

Session Time: 3:00 to 5:00
 Session Learning outcomes
In this session Students will be empowered to face and
over come Communication Barriers.
 Key Concepts and Content
Different Language Barrier, Cultural Barrier, Religious
Barrier, Physical Barrier, would be discussed and
guide them how they can communicate to over come
these.
 Physical Barrier
Physiological barriers may result from individuals'
personal discomfort, caused, for example, by ill health,
poor eye sight, or hearing difficulties.
Incase receiver is female so there must be proper distance
to maintain comfort level, also comes under it.
 Cultural Barrier
Different Students will come from different culture,
Different background, So Speaker has to aware of it so
She/he can communicate properly.
 Language Barrier
Different languages do have different expression,
jargons, so this is not that much imp. Incase Speaker does
not understand so She/he can politely ask.
 Gender Barrier
Global studies suggest that a woman speaks between
22,000 and 25,000 words a day
whereas a man speaks between 7,000 and 10,000.
It has been also observed that Men speaks more logical
then Women. So gender would be caters accordingly.
 Perpetual Barrier
Some words do have different senses which might
negative as well. So Speaker has to be aware of it not to
use. It again covers when we thoroughly study the
audience.

 Make 2 groups of the Students. There would be a
leader in each group.
 Both of them would be guided to design ad in Pakistan
where you are selling a product having alcohol. It
might be food or medicine.
 Because this is religious barrier, so we will identify the
student exposure that how they design it.
