3. Keynote Biography
As vice president of Adobe's Digital Media Enterprise Solutions, Jim Guerard
oversees Adobe’s enterprise customer relationships for the Digital Media business
unit and is on point for driving Adobe’s Creative Cloud Enterprise offering. Mr.
Guerard was previously the vice president and general manager for Adobe’s award-
winning Digital Video and Digital Publishing businesses.
Guerard joined Adobe through the company's acquisition of Macromedia, Inc. in
December 2005. At Macromedia, Guerard was vice president of product
management and marketing for Macromedia's creative tools, accounting for roughly
60% percent of the company's revenue. In this role, Guerard led product
management and marketing, and managed all business aspects for the Studio
Product Family including global responsibility for next-generation releases and the
go-to-market strategy and execution of the global Flash video agenda.
Guerard has extensive general management experience in the software industry.
Prior to joining Macromedia in 2004, Guerard served as vice president and general
manager at Pinnacle Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of high-quality video creation
and distribution tools. While there, Guerard developed and implemented product
development and marketing strategy, successfully segmenting the business between
consumer and professional products.
Guerard gained extensive publishing experience while at The Walt Disney Company.
He was part of the executive team behind Disney’s magazine publishing, children’s
books and comic books. Guerard was also on the management team at Hyperion
Books, a general-interest book publishing part of the Disney-ABC Television Group.
4. Speaker Biographies
Gwynne Kostin is Director, of the Digital Services Innovation Center in the Office of
Citizen Services & Innovative Technologies at the U.S. General Services
Administration. She is leading cross-agency efforts to use the power of today's
technologies to provide government information and services to the public anytime,
any where and on any device. As Director of New Media for the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security, she drove the use of new technologies to solve business
problems creating the department's first social media strategy, developing a cross-
agency web communications model for disaster response, and leading new media
communications and strategy for the department's 22 agencies.
John Landwehr is Vice President, Government Solutions at Adobe. John’s team is
responsible for public sector solutions incorporating electronic documents, digital
media, web content management, analytics, information assurance, and
collaboration technologies to support business efficiency & optimization, training &
mission readiness, content security, and citizen & force engagement. John has been
with the company for over a decade, working across numerous enterprise product
lines including Acrobat and LiveCycle. He has provided testimony to Congress, has
been issued multiple security related patents, previously held positions at
NeXT and Apple, and a graduate of Northwestern University.
5. Speaker Biographies
In this newly created position at the National Cancer Institute, Lakshmi Grama,
leads efforts to assess, define, and evolve content management systems as
well as developing and implementing a strategic roadmap for delivering and
presenting NCI's cancer research content across Web and new media channels.
For the Digital Services Innovation Center (GSA), Lakshmi led a cross-agency
working group on Structured and Open Content Models working to develop
shared platform-independent content models for use by federal, state, and
local websites.
As leader of the Digital Transformation Program, Lisa Wolfisch has enhanced the
Census Bureau's Web presence and the reputation of its statistical products through
a variety of mobile apps, social media and developer APIs. Notably, she was a driving
force behind the America's Economy app, which combines data from multiple
agencies on employment, manufacturing, international trade, retail sales and
residential construction. Thanks to Lisa's efforts, the bureau is becoming a constant
source of information and giving the public new and better opportunities to interact
with the bureau more than once every 10 years.
6. Speaker Biographies
Mike Pulsifer serves as Lead IT Specialist for the Department of Labor. Mike aims to
make transparency easier and cheaper by streaming all of the Labor
Department’s data through a single interface. He also serves as the manager of
mobile programs at the department.
