2. INTRODUCTION
S.A.P
The Senior Advocate Program (S.A.P.) was
developed to focus on the economic and social
issues that effect the senior community. Many in
the senior community live below the poverty level,
and they struggles as any other group with the high
cost of living ( housing, food, and medical cost) .
Many seniors feel that they have no hope and
unfortunately there very little programs designed
for their community. According to the National
Council On Aging (NCOA) 15 million adults 65+ are
economically insecure with income below 200% of
the federal poverty level (FPL) ($25,760 per year
for a single person in 2021.

3. Culture And
Diversity
• Throughout the years society has devaluated our concerns
for the senior community. The senior population has been
called the forgotten generation, sometimes society fails to
remember these men and women gave their lives to serve
in the war, taught our children and worked hard for their
families and our country. Older women more likely to live
in poverty than as a result of wage discrimination and
having to take time out of the workforce for caregiving
(Justice in Aging 2020).Over half of the Black and Hispanic
seniors aged 65+ have income 200% of federal poverty
level (Kaiser Family Foundation 2018)

4. ORGANIZATIONAL
THEORY AND
DESIGN
• For this organization I decided to combine theories,
The first theory is the classical Management theory to
ensure the capability to structure an organization that
serves our clients effectively. The other theory is the
open system we will be partnering with other
organizations for referrals and support, so the flow of
information is needed to best serve our senior
community.
• The design is as follows; Director – this person will
oversee the entire project, recruit staff , seek out
corporate partnership, training, conduct board meetings
• Program Manager responsibility is to supervise two
Managers and four employees conduct daily meetings
maintain time sheets, staff evaluations, data collection
open and close building
