Message from Kim Clausen
President, Denver Coach Federation

Welcome to this month’s Denver Coach Federation newsletter. This is my first greeting
to you as the new President.

As I step into this new role, I come with feelings of gratitude, excitement and hope for
the DCF, the professional coaching industry, and you.

First, I am very grateful to be part of such an honorable and worthwhile industry and
professional organization. We became coaches to change lives, and coaching changes
lives in ways that few other professions can do. As someone who gets to live all day
every day in the world of coaching, I am honored to call you my friends and colleagues.

I am also grateful for all of the Board members and volunteers who have served the
DCF this past year. Not only are they highly dedicated to the cause of professional
coaching and the mission of the DCF, but they are amazingly competent and tons of fun!
As you know, this is a 100% volunteer organization, and without those who commit
their time and energy each month, we couldn’t have the incredible organization that we
do.

Thank you to our Board members, volunteers and committed members. This is truly a
group effort, as none of us would exist without the other.

Next, I am filled with tremendous excitement. A new year with new board members and
volunteers brings new energy and new ideas. We are excited to continue to support you
in strengthening your skills as coaches and your savvy as business owners. Educated
and thriving coaches make for a stronger profession, which allows us to reach more
people and make a greater impact. This is our goal for the DCF and you.

And finally, I am hopeful. I am hopeful that I will lead this organization to strengthen
and grow, that we will provide you the community, education and support you need to
flourish, and that collectively we will empower each other to step into our own personal
greatness.

With gratitude, excitement and hope we can do some great things together. Here's to a
rewarding and prosperous year.

Your President,
Kim Clausen

DCF May Meeting: May 12

Date: May 12, 2011

Time: 7:00PM to 9:00PM
(SIGs: 6:00-7:00 PM)

Location: PPA Event Center, 2105 Decautur St, Denver, CO 80211

Speaker: Ingrid Elfver

Topic: "Social Media for Coaches"

*Offering 1.5 CCEUs in the area of Business Development

How to build authentic relationships, get tens of thousands of followers, and
convert them into paying clients… in less than 27 minutes a day.

Have you been asking yourself any of the following questions: Will social media work for
my unique business and personality? How can I get lots of followers and convert them
into paying customers? What should I do first? How can I do it all in less than 30
minutes a day? During this session you’ll get answers to all of those questions (and
more).

Most social media trainings are too basic (or, they give you too much information…
usually taught by trainers who spend every minute on social media and think you can
too). They tell you what to do, but not how to do it. They’re taught by people who don’t
have more than a few thousand (or hundred!) followers themselves… without much (or
any) experience helping real-life business owners (like you) achieve real-world results.

This training is different.

You’re going to discover the only proven, repeatable process in the world that’s actually
guaranteed to get you tens of thousands of followers, and actually convert them into
paying customers. Plus you’re going to get a step-by-step, paint-by-numbers process (so
you can get the greatest results with the least amount of effort).

The Learning Objectives include:
Some of the most common mistakes being made by coaches on social media.
The simple 4-step process you must follow to make money using social media.
Proven methods to go from 0 to thousands of followers on FB and/or Twitter, and
increase your income in less than a year.
How other coaches have been using the same strategies to get similar results.

About Ingrid Elfver

Ingrid Elfver, the coach’s coach, is CEO and founder of the Secret Society for Coaches.

Referred to as "the sugar that makes the social media medicine go down" Ingrid refers
to herself as a "reluctant social media expert." She went from 0-70,000 followers in 9
months and doubled her income, using a 4-step process she was forced to create herself
after failing to find anything similar online. Now Ingrid is helping coaching clients
achieve similar results using her Social Media Conversion System, and she’s been
speaking at events around the country on the topic.

Social media is just one of the strategies that Ingrid uses to help heart-centered coaches
(and other experts), create a 6-7 figure business and make a difference doing what they
love. Over the last 20 years, Ingrid has coached thousands of people around the world
(from celebrities to startups). Her Celebrity Blueprint Process™ helps coaches make the
leap from “ordinary” to “celebrity”. In other words: create “signature” high-end products
and services based on their unique passions, talents, expertise, and life experience so
they can be more selective about who they work with, make more money, and have
more time off.

Although she’s originally from Sweden, Ingrid has lived in Malibu, Beverly Hills, and
Hollywood Hills, CA (her first neighbors were Burt Reynolds and Rod Stewart). Ingrid
has learned a lot of her “success secrets” from celebrities that you’d quickly recognize
(they’ve been her neighbors, her clients, and her friends). Ingrid also knows what it’s
like to be in the spotlight herself. Ingrid now has almost 100,000 followers on social
media. She’s been a professional model; served as Scout, Coach, Master of Ceremonies,
and Judge for Miss Europe; and been interviewed as a mindset expert for a feature film
documentary.

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone must register for the monthly meeting including DCF
members.

Membership in the Denver Coach Federation

Help us build our membership! The more members we have, the greater resources we
are to one another and the stronger our voice for the coaching profession.

As a member of DCF, you will be part of a very special group of individuals committed to
making a difference in the lives of their clients, connecting with other coaches,
developing themselves, and advancing the profession of coaching. There are many
benefits to membership in DCF including attending the monthly meetings at no
additional cost. The educational presentations during the meetings delivered by highly
successful coaches with special expertise are a wonderful resource for developing your
coaching skills and building your business. As a member, you also have the opportunity
to network with other coaches and participate in one of the Special Interest Groups
(SIGs). The SIGs are led by experienced coaches, giving you the opportunity to learn
and engage in lively discussion. Three of the four SIGs are held immediately prior to the
meeting, and one is held off site on a different day. Our SIGs are: Exploring Coaching as
a Profession; Fundamentals of Starting a Coaching Practice; Marketing for the
Established Coach; and Executive Coaching. In addition to the SIGs and monthly
educational programming, we also have other programs and events such as workshops
and tele-classes, with reduced rates for members.

If you’re not currently a member, please take a moment to go to the DCF website and
join on-line. If you know others who are coaches but not currently members of DCF,
please encourage them to join too. Joining DCF is an investment in yourself and the
profession of coaching.

Thank You!

masterful coaches. A variety of other resources include such great tapes as "High End
Coaching" and "Personal Evolution" by Thomas Leonard and Frederic Hudson's book, The
Handbook of Coaching.

In addition to developing leadership and coaching skills, audiotape topics are specific to
self-promotion and networking, use of assessments, therapists as coaches, attraction
principles, team coaching, self- coaching, emotional intelligence, appreciative inquiry,

May 2011 Denver Coach Federation Newsletter

  • 1. MAY 2011 IN THIS ISSUE: Message from Kim Clausen, President DCF May Meeting: May 12, 2011 Special Interest Groups (SIG) Upcoming Teleclasses and Workshops Membership in the DCF DCF is on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter & YouTube! Resource Library General Meeting Information Contact Us Message from Kim Clausen President, Denver Coach Federation Welcome to this month’s Denver Coach Federation newsletter. This is my first greeting to you as the new President. As I step into this new role, I come with feelings of gratitude, excitement and hope for the DCF, the professional coaching industry, and you. First, I am very grateful to be part of such an honorable and worthwhile industry and professional organization. We became coaches to change lives, and coaching changes lives in ways that few other professions can do. As someone who gets to live all day every day in the world of coaching, I am honored to call you my friends and colleagues. I am also grateful for all of the Board members and volunteers who have served the DCF this past year. Not only are they highly dedicated to the cause of professional coaching and the mission of the DCF, but they are amazingly competent and tons of fun! As you know, this is a 100% volunteer organization, and without those who commit their time and energy each month, we couldn’t have the incredible organization that we do. Thank you to our Board members, volunteers and committed members. This is truly a group effort, as none of us would exist without the other. Next, I am filled with tremendous excitement. A new year with new board members and volunteers brings new energy and new ideas. We are excited to continue to support you
  • 2. in strengthening your skills as coaches and your savvy as business owners. Educated and thriving coaches make for a stronger profession, which allows us to reach more people and make a greater impact. This is our goal for the DCF and you. And finally, I am hopeful. I am hopeful that I will lead this organization to strengthen and grow, that we will provide you the community, education and support you need to flourish, and that collectively we will empower each other to step into our own personal greatness. With gratitude, excitement and hope we can do some great things together. Here's to a rewarding and prosperous year. Your President, Kim Clausen keclausen@netzero.net DCF May Meeting: May 12 Date: May 12, 2011 Time: 7:00PM to 9:00PM (SIGs: 6:00-7:00 PM) Location: PPA Event Center, 2105 Decautur St, Denver, CO 80211 Speaker: Ingrid Elfver Topic: "Social Media for Coaches" *Offering 1.5 CCEUs in the area of Business Development How to build authentic relationships, get tens of thousands of followers, and convert them into paying clients… in less than 27 minutes a day. Have you been asking yourself any of the following questions: Will social media work for my unique business and personality? How can I get lots of followers and convert them into paying customers? What should I do first? How can I do it all in less than 30 minutes a day? During this session you’ll get answers to all of those questions (and more). Most social media trainings are too basic (or, they give you too much information… usually taught by trainers who spend every minute on social media and think you can too). They tell you what to do, but not how to do it. They’re taught by people who don’t have more than a few thousand (or hundred!) followers themselves… without much (or any) experience helping real-life business owners (like you) achieve real-world results. This training is different. You’re going to discover the only proven, repeatable process in the world that’s actually guaranteed to get you tens of thousands of followers, and actually convert them into paying customers. Plus you’re going to get a step-by-step, paint-by-numbers process (so you can get the greatest results with the least amount of effort). The Learning Objectives include:
  • 3. Some of the most common mistakes being made by coaches on social media. The simple 4-step process you must follow to make money using social media. Proven methods to go from 0 to thousands of followers on FB and/or Twitter, and increase your income in less than a year. How other coaches have been using the same strategies to get similar results. About Ingrid Elfver Ingrid Elfver, the coach’s coach, is CEO and founder of the Secret Society for Coaches. Referred to as "the sugar that makes the social media medicine go down" Ingrid refers to herself as a "reluctant social media expert." She went from 0-70,000 followers in 9 months and doubled her income, using a 4-step process she was forced to create herself after failing to find anything similar online. Now Ingrid is helping coaching clients achieve similar results using her Social Media Conversion System, and she’s been speaking at events around the country on the topic. Social media is just one of the strategies that Ingrid uses to help heart-centered coaches (and other experts), create a 6-7 figure business and make a difference doing what they love. Over the last 20 years, Ingrid has coached thousands of people around the world (from celebrities to startups). Her Celebrity Blueprint Process™ helps coaches make the leap from “ordinary” to “celebrity”. In other words: create “signature” high-end products and services based on their unique passions, talents, expertise, and life experience so they can be more selective about who they work with, make more money, and have more time off. Although she’s originally from Sweden, Ingrid has lived in Malibu, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood Hills, CA (her first neighbors were Burt Reynolds and Rod Stewart). Ingrid has learned a lot of her “success secrets” from celebrities that you’d quickly recognize (they’ve been her neighbors, her clients, and her friends). Ingrid also knows what it’s like to be in the spotlight herself. Ingrid now has almost 100,000 followers on social media. She’s been a professional model; served as Scout, Coach, Master of Ceremonies, and Judge for Miss Europe; and been interviewed as a mindset expert for a feature film documentary. PLEASE NOTE: Everyone must register for the monthly meeting including DCF members. *Offering 1.5 CCEUs in the area of Business Development CLICK HERE TO REGISTER for the May 12, 2011 DCF Meeting.
