Deutsche Börse Cloud Exchange AG aims to create a vendor-neutral marketplace for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud products. By standardizing IaaS offerings and enabling exchange trading of computing power and data storage, Deutsche Börse hopes to increase efficiency and lower costs for both providers and consumers. The exchange will facilitate spot trading of IaaS resources beginning in early 2014, with the eventual goal of adding derivative trading in 2015 to allow hedging of future demand.
