30+ years of “front line” rail operations experience in NSW Australia, including:
10 years as Train Control Supervisor managing day to day rail
operations at Broadmeadow
5 years as a Chief Train Controller responsible for planning and
coordinating all Newcastle and Hunter Valley rail operations
9 years as a Senior Train Controller responsible for rail operations along
the Brisbane to Newcastle corridor, and the Moree to Newcastle corridor

Chain performance improvement groups, noise and vibration task force,

Through his long association with rail operations and train control, Harry can provide expert rail operations and
rail safety services encompassing the following specialist areas:
All aspects of Train Control, based on 28 years of front line train control and management experience
Subject matter expert for all rail operations and train control related matters
Rail safety management support in accordance with AS 4292 and the National Rail Accreditation
Package, including development of SMS accreditation documents
Railway and mining industry incident management services, including evidence gathering, root cause
analysis and investigation, and professional incident reporting
Training and assessing, specialising in train control and related rail operations positions
Rail network capacity modelling, headway analysis and timetable simulation using “OpenTrack” software.
Harry has the rare ability to draw on 1st
hand experience to analyse and validate rail modelling outputs
Project planning and construction support, including the development of detailed project operation
concept plans, and related safety management system documentation
Technical writing, including railway and mining industry rule and procedure development
Interface management for rail maintenance and rail construction work in “live” rail environments
Change management, with emphasis on managing the smooth introduction of new technologies

simulation and network modelling
Chartered member (CMILT) of the Institute of Logistics and
Transport Australia (CILTA)
Former qualifications as a Train Controller in NSW and Taiwan
Former qualifications as a Protection Officer Level 4, Hand
Signaller Level 2 and Safeworking Level 2 in NSW. These
qualifications only lapsed in October 2015 and can be re-instated if
required.
Finally, Harry’s almost 4 years work experience in Taiwan from January 2007 through to December 2010 has
proven his ability to adapt and integrate with other local and expatriate staff, and to successfully relocate to
live and work in an overseas country.
