Why I differ fromother PAs and NPs:
I have personal experience with caring for exceptionally high acuity and complicated patients to include nitric oxide
support, LVAD/heartmates, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, organ donation, post-operative cardiac and
neurological support, palliative & comfort medicine, medical ethics, and post trauma life support in a very diverse
range of cultures and religions; 14 years of direct patient care before entering PA training. There isn’t much that
catches me off guard.
I look to build on my surgical skills. I enjoy advance suture repair, advance line placement, and other procedures. If I
could find a workplace that combines personal patient care with procedures with willing mentors, that would be
optimal for me.
My family medicine training allowed me to have a broad range of medical knowledge and complemented my heavy
background in acute medicine. I enjoy hospital, critical, and trauma medicine, but I am an avid proceduralist deep
down. I won’t deny, however, that my current strengths are best exploited in acute care.

ABOUT ME
My goal is to receive my advance licensing in acute care medicine through the NCCPA during 2016-2017 to better
serve my patients and healthcare team. I would also like to complete my masters in Physician Assistant
studies through Texas Pan-Am. In my spare time I enjoy roller skating with my children. My family
enjoys swimming, skiing, movies, and traveling. I also have a secret muscle car obsession.
