Wireless Sensor Network is a collection of various sensor nodes with sensing and communication capabilities. Clustering is the process of grouping the set of objects so that the objects in the same group are similar to each other and different to objects in the other group. The main goal of Data Aggregation is to collect and aggregate the data by maintaining the energy efficiency so that the network lifetime can be increased. In this paper, I have presented a comprehensive review of various clustering routing protocols for WSN, their advantages and limitation of clustering in WSN. A brief survey of Data Aggregation Algorithm is also outlined in this paper. Finally, I summarize and conclude the paper with some future directions

With the emergence of the e - Catalog, there has been an increasingly wide application of commodities query in distribut ed environment in the field of e - commerce. But e - Catalog is often autonomous and heterogeneous, effectively integrating and querying them is a delicate and time - consuming task. Electronic catalog contains rich semantics associated with products, and serves as a challenging domain for ontology application. Ontology is concerned with the nature and relations of being. It can play a cruc ial role in e - commerce as a formalization of e - Catalog. User personalized catalog ontology aims at capturing the users' inter ests in a working domain, which forms the basis of providing personalized e - Catalog services. Now a day’s social or computer networks produced graphs of thousands of nodes & millions of edges. Such Large graphs are used to store and represent information. As it is a complex data structure it requires extra processing. Partitioning or clustering methods are used to decompose a large graph. In this paper dependent set based graph partitioning approach is proposed which decomposes a large graph into sub graphs. It creates uniform partitions with very few edge cuts. It also prevents the loss of information. The work also focuses on an approach that handles dynamic updation in a large graph and represents a large graph in abstract form.

Bayesian classifier works efficiently on some fields, and badly on some. The performance of Bayesian Classifier suffers in fields that involve correlated features. Feature selection is beneficial in reducing dimensionality, removing irrelevant data, incrementing learning accuracy, and improving result comprehensibility. But, the recent increase of dimensionality of data place a hard challenge to many existing feature selection methods with respect to efficiency and effectiveness. In this paper, Bayesian Classifier with Correlation Based Feature Selection is introduced which can key out relevant features as well as redundancy among relevant features without pair wise correlation analysis. The efficiency and effectiveness of our method is presented through broad.

Nigeria is an oil producing nation which have been relying heavily on oil revenue for its economic well being. Oil depletes and its price can crash making dependence on oil as a mono means for the country’s future futile. Information and communication technology (ICT) on the other hand has impacted the economic growth of various nations such as India. ICT seems to be a key factor in stimulating the development of a country’s productivity across most sectors of the economy and ensuring global competiveness and a move to a New Economy. This Paper examines if a causal relationship exists between ICT and economic wellbeing (GCI) and if ICT can offer a way forward for Nigeria to move from oil based to service and product based economy. The paper also conducts an empirical analysis to find out if oil producing nations experience better growth against ICT innovative nations using 10 countries. The results of the analysis support the believe that ICT led development and of the existence of a causal link between ICT and economic growth and non-existence of a causal link between oil production alone and economic development.

Transmitting the geo-location information of a target via wireless networks is effective when both the target and the tracker are within Wi-Fi coverage area; the 802.11 wireless networks are not always accessible. When the target or the tracker is unable to access Wi-Fi, it is impossible to perform location tracking. Therefore, SMS is a relatively more reliable and flexible solution because of its widespread use. In this system, a device is equipped with a global system for mobile communications (GSM) modem and a GPS unit. It transmits short messages containing its GPS coordinates to the server at 30-s intervals. Although transmitting the geo-location information of a target via wireless networks is effective when both the target and the tracker are within Wi-Fi coverage area, the 802.11 wireless networks are not always accessible. When the target or the tracker is unable to access Wi-Fi, it is impossible to perform location tracking. In this System, a novel method called location-based delivery (LBD), which combines the short message service (SMS) and global position system (GPS). LBD reduces the number of short message transmissions while maintaining the location tracking accuracy within the acceptable range. The proposed approach, LBD, consists of three primary features: Short message format, location prediction, and dynamic threshold. The defined short message format is proprietary.

In this paper, we propose an illumination-robust face recognition system using local directional pattern images. Usually, local pattern descriptors including local binary pattern and local directional pattern have been used in the field of the face recognition and facial expression recognition, since local pattern descriptors have important properties to be robust against the illumination changes and computational simplicity. Thus, this paper represents the face recognition approach that employs the local directional pattern descriptor and two-dimensional principal analysis algorithms to achieve enhanced recognition accuracy. In particular, we propose a novel methodology that utilizes the transformed image obtained from local directional pattern descriptor as the direct input image of two-dimensional principal analysis algorithms, unlike that most of previous works employed the local pattern descriptors to acquire the histogram features. The performance evaluation of proposed system was performed using well-known approaches such as principal component analysis and Gabor-wavelets based on local binary pattern, and publicly available databases including the Yale B database and the CMU-PIE database were employed.

Benzophenone is one of the promising organic NLO materials for their high energy laser photonic applications and hence this review is mainly emphasized on the discussion of growth, efficiency and applications of low melting organic NLO benzophenone crystals in order to improve their structural and physical properties. To grow bulk and good quality benzophenone crystals by various techniques adopted has been discussed such as slow evaporation method, Microtube-Czochralski method, and Vertical Bridgman method. It is acknowledged that the size and the efficiency of the growing benzophenone single crystal varies with that of the techniques we are using has been discussed below. The SHG efficiency of pure benzophenone crystal also been compared with the standard KDP crystal. Also optical transparency behaviour of the benzophenone crystal has also been reviewed.

The goal of quality assessment (QA) research is to design algorithms that can automatically assess the quality of images in a perceptually consistent manner. Image QA algorithms generally interpret image quality as fidelity or similarity with a “reference” or “perfect” image in some perceptual space. In order to improve the assessment accuracy of white noise, Gauss blur, JPEG2000 compression and other distorted images, this paper puts forward an image quality assessment method based on phase congruency and gradient magnitude. The experimental results show that the image quality assessment method has a higher accuracy than traditional method and it can accurately reflect the image visual perception of the human eye. In this paper, we propose an image information measure that quantifies the information that is present in the reference image and how much of this reference information can be extracted from the distorted image.

Health care information systems are aimed at facilitating the smooth running and interoperability of the health care delivery processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; however, the complexity, heterogeneity and diversity of the health care sector especially in Kenya poses serious challenges especially in relation to integration of the systems. There is a large disconnect between the public and private health care delivery systems characterized by fragmentation of services, locally within hospitals (among primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings) and across different health care centers. This research is aimed at examining the adoption of integrated healthcare information system in Nairobi County; Kenyatta National Hospital represents the public sector and The Mater Hospital the private sector. A sample size of 100 users on information system from the two hospitals picked from the primary secondary and tertiary levels were selected and questionnaires administered to them. Data was analyzed through descriptive statistics with the aid of SPSS. The results of the study indicated that there was a huge disparity between healthcare information system adoption in the public and private sectors with the private sector’s adoption being at an advanced stage. The major barriers to adoption including social political barriers, financial constraints and technical/technological barriers also presented.

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of very large number of sensor nodes which are deployed close to the area which is to be monitored so as to sense various environmental conditions. WSN is a data-driven network which produces large amount of data and also sensor nodes are energy-limited devices and their energy consumption is mainly associated with data routing. Therefore it is necessary to perform redundant data aggregation so as to save energy. In this work data aggregation is achieved with the help of two key approaches namely Clustering approach and In-network data aggregation. These two approaches help to save energy and thereby increasing the lifetime of the network. The proposed work has some key features like reliable cluster formation, high data aggregation rate, priority of packets, minimized overhead, multiple routes, reduced energy consumption which enhance the network lifetime. The performance evaluation of the proposed approach is carried out using Network Simulator- version 2
