The Karla Bolen Memorial Fund provided a grant to Thomas Jefferson Elementary School that allowed them to purchase banners depicting maps of each continent to hang in the hallways. To celebrate, the school hosted an "Around the World in a Day" event that transformed the library into different continents for students to visit and learn about. The grant money made a significant positive impact on the school.
