  1. WelcomeHello my name is James Kelway, User Experience Director at Hello Group and I would like to welcome you here today. This afternoon you will hear from three of our UX architectsfrom Hello. JeppeHenckel will talk about UX and digital product design. Then Tine Jørgensen will cover the increasingly important domain of Mobile Apps. Finally Rune Andersen will talk about UX and Social Media. Between each 25 minute talk we will have a 5 minute q&A. At the end of all talks we will have a session for any remaining questions.Before the speakers begin I would like to just talk briefly about User Experience and how we work with it professionally.

Technology is a focusReally though, it would help to see tech for what it really is, not unlike how children interact and use technology to help them to experience the world. – they see it for what it is. A means to an end.
  5. We (Hello) see technology as a way to allow businesses to interact with users, however it is not our focus. Today we would like to explain how we see the various aspects of user experience and what is relevant for you.
  6. UCD and UXUser experience (UX) ensures people are placed at the centre of the design process when it comes to making digital products. There are several phases to this to ensure it happens.
  7. The first phase is ensuring that business needs are defined…..…. and that the user needs are described. The next phase is that content type is considered….….and the context of use is mapped in a way that makes the solution easier to design.The penultimate phase is to design the interaction of the product and produce a working prototype.Finally the prototype is tested and improved as necessary for release.‘Always in beta’ - metaphor supermarket model – location of the milk
  8. Discovering user needs is the most time intensive but most important phase of user centred design.Customers know what your business is good at. Patients will let you know how to improve care. Users will alert you of flaws in an application. With social media it is all in public, 24/7, globally seen ways.That provides some challenges to businesses that Rune will expand on but the insights discovered here will not only inform design but also provide ideas for further innovation.
