- Is the union of all the galaxies.
- The MILKY WAY is the name of our galaxy. Into the milky way is our estelar system,called SOLAR SYSTEM. Our solar system is one of the hundreds of millions of estelar systems that make up the milky way, together with dust gas clouds and other celestial objects
- THE MILKY WAY HAS A SPIRAL SHAPE.Our galaxy is divided into 3 zones the halo the disc and the bulb.our solar system is located in one of the spiral arm called orions arm or local arm.
- The bulb or the galactic nucleus is at the center of the galxy. It is the area with the highest ddensity of stars. The bulb has a spherical shape and rotates as a rigid solid body. Scientisits says that in the galactic center there is a large black hole.
- Scientists have concluded that in the center of the galaxy is a region of gravity so high that nothing can escape it, this area is known as «black hole», the main feature of a black hole is the large concentration of mass and energy within a very small area, this factor increases very much the chances of collisions between stars in the center of the galaxy.
- The halo is a spheriodal structure that surrounds the galaxy.in the halo,stars concentration is very low and almost there aren´t gas clouds, in this area are the oldest stars in the galaxy, another feature of halo is the presence of a large amount of dark matter.
- The disk is mainly formed by younger stars.the disk is the part of the galaxy that contains more gas.it is the region where are still happeningstar formation processes.the galactic disk is divided into two parts:thin disk and thick disk.the most characteristic feature of the disk are its eight spiral arms.our solar system is located in the «orion arm»,which is part of the «sagittarius»spiral arm.
- Our solar system consists of a star ans several planetas rotating around it and of themselves independently of other bodies that are also part of the solar system.The star of our system of our system is the SUN. The planets eight planets that orbit the sun are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
- It has its own light, occupies the center of our solar system and all other bodies revolve around it in orbits. The sun is a great source of energy that provides heat and light,which allows life on planet Earth. The sun is mostly composed of hydrogen and helium.One of the features of the sun are solar prominences.
- The Earth is the third planets from the sun, and the densest and fifth-largest of the Solar System. It is also the laegest of the Solar System´s four terrestial planets. It is sometimes referred to as the world otr the blue planet. Wqe have a natural satellite called The Moon. The Earth is the only planet wich contains life.
