Company overview:
The HI MOON Pharmaceutical Distributors (HMPD) is the professional company representing
one of the health care companies, and that possess the appropriate Licenses granted by the
Department of Health through the Medicines.
These Licenses authorize the specific Company to whom such approvals have been given, and to
distribute such products into the supply chain in the Pakistan, normally either to the retail
pharmacy, the dispensing general practitioner or Hospitals/Clinics.
They have the lowest price and distribute in a country where the price is higher. A considerable
saving therefore is achieved by the Health Service providers (and the Government), a saving
which helps in the drug cost containment programmers while enabling added value to be realized
within the sector.
Mission statement:
The HI MOON Pharmaceutical Distributors (HMPD),a less-profit making independent
professional company, owned by its members, is involved in the promotion, protection and
development of the interests of members in company importing pharmaceuticals from within the
PAKISTAN, SRILANKA and AFGANHISTAN and fostering the highest professional standard
of practice and conduct among its members.
Aim:
To offer an effective platform for a dialogue between the pharmaceutical industry and other
pharmaceutical wholesaling and distribution company with pharmacies, hospitals, private clinics
and dispensing doctors as well as the appropriate regulatory authorities.
To represent the interests of those companies engaged within the parallel pharmaceutical
distribution of medicinal products for human consumption (PPDI) operating both within the
Pakistan and other countries
Wholesales of traditional Chinese medicines, drugs and bulk pharmaceuticals, biochemical
drugs, biological products, and class I and II medical apparatuses.
Value chain in the organization:
Drug distribution remains complex and often limits growth in Pakistan pharmaceutical industry.
Emerging trends and China's most recent Five-Year Plan will accelerate change and introduce
new opportunities
We have two types of activities in the value chain model:
Support activities
Primary activities
Support activates:
Stock management and availability:
Creating end-to-end inventory availability across the pharmaceutical supply chain is a major
challenge for pharmaceutical companies because that availability often ends once they hand off to
their immediate distributors. The fragmentation and layers of distributors make it difficult to build that
visibility. Many use it mainly to satisfy the Good Supply Practice (GSP) certification requirements
and have yet to build an integrated system across their business functions, including sales,
procurement, and logistics
Human resource management:
Human resource management persons Working together for health, , though the particular
importance of an adequate pharmaceutical workforce is often overlooked. The development,
production, distribution and appropriate utilization of medicines, as well as the supportive functions
of regulation, operational research, and training, all require the involvement of competent
pharmaceutical professionals. And the successful execution of these activities is essential to a
strong health system. The dire shortage of pharmaceutical personnel, therefore, has deep
implications for population health.
Catalog available:
Our Account Representatives are always available to take your call. Our well-tenured warehouse
staff knows how to carefully create every customer order, because we know these products are life-
critical for your patients. Our expertise includes refrigerated, ambient and frozen products.
Specialty pharmaceutical products include:
 Cerezyme
 Dacogen
 Duplocath
 Fabrazyme
 Gelfoam
 Lymphazurin
 Myozyme
 Mustargen
 Ontak
 Remicade
 Soliris
 Thyrogen
 Totect
 Treanda
 Vidaza
 Velcade
 Xolair
Primary activities:
Pharmaceutical companies and distributors alike, success will depend on knowledge of the market
and finding the right balance of expanding market access, improving control, and increasing margins
and transparency. The right strategy will deliver immediate returns and long-term advantage
Operations:
1 Pharmaceutical products should be stored and distributed in shipment containers that
have no adverse effect on the quality of the products, and that offer adequate protection
from external influences, including contamination.
2 Shippingcontainersshould bear labels providing sufficient information on handling and
storage conditions and precautions to ensure that the products are properly handled and
secure at all times. The shipment container should enable identification of the container’s
contents and source.
3 The need for any special transport and/or storage conditions should be stated on the
shipment container label. If a pharmaceutical product is intended for transfer to areas
outside the control of the manufacturer’s products management system, the name and
address of the manufacturer, special transport conditions and any special legal
requirements, including safety symbols, should also be included on the container label.
4 Normally, internationally and/or nationally accepted abbreviations, names or codes
should be used in the labeling of shipment containers.
5 Written procedures should be available for the handling of damaged and/or broken
shipment containers. Particular attention should be paid to those containing potentially
toxic and hazardous products.
Sales and management:
This Module comprises of Contact Management and Sales Order Processing Management. It is
an integrated solution comprising of marketing and sales activities. Organization can act
immediately to improve sales, service and marketing effectiveness by using this Module.
Resource Sales Management module is all about retaining customers, improving customer

This module also help to you getting your customer order management easier day by day.
Whether it is maintaining customer information, quickly creating a quote or migrating them to
sales order or being responsive to your customers, we provide you right solution and efficient
flow of information
Repackaging and relabeling:
Repackaging and relabeling of pharmaceutical products should be limited, as these practices may
represent a risk to the safety and security of the supply chain
Where they do occur, they should only be performed by entities appropriately authorized to do so
and in compliance with the applicable national, regional and international guidelines, i.e. in
accordance with GMP principles
In the event of repackaging by companies other than the original manufacturer, these operations
should result in at least equivalent means of identification and authentication of the products.
Procedures should be in place for the secure disposal of original packaging
As in Analysis
In Bound logistics
Ware house record
In bound is one of the primary processes of logistics, concentrating on purchasing and arranging
the inbound movement of materials, parts, and/or finished inventory from suppliers to
manufacturing or assembly plants, warehouses, or retail stores.
In hi moon first they have to place order to the supplier manually and tell them all the
requirement of their need. Then after approval and payment decision then delivery is being take
place. When trucks of medicine are arrived in warehouse the data manger record and count the
data manually. And make the entry of goods arrived in the register. It takes too much time and
effort to maintain the whole data. And also taking charge of invert manually. When product is
being arrived in the ware house the second part comes.
Operations
The second is maintaining the operations which are being done in the company ware house. Its
include all the operations about checking, placing the medicine in the ware house. It’s also
include labeling the all the data on the name of Hi moon company name. This is also done for the
new order. This counting and checking procedure is being done on the daily basis. Because Hi
moon is dealing in life saving drugs which need more check and balance.
Sales and marketing
Sales are obviously very important for any company. Hi moon also try do more sale due some
lack of a bit capabilities the company is not having that much of sales as he has the capability.
They are not doing marketing. They have opportunity in web world to increase their sales. Here
Hi moon handle all the sales on an computer which doesn’t using any special software or device
which automatically store the data. In this web services can help them a lot.
Services
Hi moon provides delivery services to different companies when they have place their orders on
phone. After checking out the inventory then order is being placed and delivery is being. Here
company have also many opportunity to reduced cost and improve their services.
Out bound logistics
Outbound logistics is the process related to the storage and movement of the final product and
the related information flows from the end of the production line to the end user. We leverage
our relationship with over 320 trusted carriers to make sure that your deliveries to your
customers are on time. Our Transportation Management team will find the most efficient and
effective lanes for the final delivery.
Our outbound services include
• Outbound carrier procurement
• Freight optimization and order consolidation
• Integration with Warehouse Management System (WMS) technology
This how our company works and we can do it better.
To be analysis
We have here mentioned the now what will IT helps us in doing our business. First we apply IT
technology that tell how are business being improved.
Ware house record
When we apply it inventory management software it will help us in managing all the data. It will
helps in giving orders to the suppliers and taking and processing it. Then information will be
transferred to the website easily.
And when we do it
with IT help this not consume too much time and less cost.
Sales and marketing
Sales can do on website no need of any cash collection. Your bank account will be debited. Then
company have the facility do more sales and increase revenue. We can do marketing as well on
the website and on Social media as well.
Action plans
We will use Value Chain Managementsystem that gives following
benefits.
Reduce Delivery Times
Our distribution channel member can benefit from reduced delivery times. We can strengthen
relationships with wholesalers or retailers by delivering orders more quickly. Resellers benefit
because they can more effectively coordinate buying and selling activity. Additionally, end
customers benefit from faster and more consistent on-time delivery when trade channel partners
move goods efficiently.
Optimize Inventory
Its closely related to faster delivery times are the ability to optimize inventory levels. We can
work closely with suppliers to reduce delivery times and they can coordinate with us for
outbound processes with the retailer's inbound logistics. We can also use "just-in-time" inventory
processes as part of value chain management. With JIT, we can makes smaller, more frequent
orders of goods to reduce inventory levels. Excess inventory is costly to manage and increases
the potential for waste.
Improve Customer Relationships
By managing the initial value chain factors, including inbound logistics, operations and outbound
logistics, resellers we can an improve response times and minimize costs for customers. The
marketing and sales and service aspects of the value chain are especially important to improving
customer relationships. We can use loyalty or rewards programs to generate customer loyalty and
to persuade customers to buy more products over time. Customer service is also important to
help follow up on customer experiences to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
Enhance Revenue and Profit
Ultimately, the bottom line benefits of value chain management are represented with enhanced
revenue and profit. With efficient logistics and distribution, we can have products available when
customers want them. Our marketing and sales efforts help to attract customers and motivate
them to buy goods and relatively high price points. The combination of reduced logistics and
distribution costs and optimal price points and revenue contribute to the best possible profit for
your small business.
