igh Point University was selected from
about 795,000 student opinions as one
of the best college campuses of the
nation, coming in at number five. According
Niche Best Campus Ratings, High Point ex-
celled in the minds of college students through-
out the nation. The ratings were based off of
state-of-the-art labs and classrooms, technology
resources, high quality campus dining and
housing resources. Also, it was found that High
Point students have a strong sense of school
pride and a love for their campus community.
There are many more factors that come into
play, such as professor ratings, Greek life and
athletics.
North Carolina Universities dominated the list
with 5 schools in the top 100, including Duke
University, Davidson College, the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Elon Uni-
versity, all of which trailing behind High Point
University. Contrary to popular belief, Duke
University made it far behind High Point, com-
ing in at number 35.

Along with being rated in the top five of Niche’s
ratings, High Point University also received the
number one spot for their Slane student center
as the best student union in the country. Also,
High Point University was ranked number 12 in
their security programs according to SECURI-
TY Magazine. In addition, High Point Univer-
sity was voted the number one regional college
for three consecutive years, according to the
U.S. News and World Report.
