I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Kate Lucks. As
chairman of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, I have the consistent need to
work closely with our Marketing Department. Kate Lucks joined my firm,
KPF, in the spring of 2009 bringing a much needed energy and keen
perspective to our marketing department. She started her tenure with a
focus on producing proposals and collateral materials and while very
productive in that capacity, given the immediate and pressing needs of the
firm, as well as her own strengths and focus, she shifted to a new role that
served not just the department but also the firm worldwide.
While continuing to support our new business development efforts, she
unified and led our efforts to establish a more dynamic and impactful
presence at conferences, exhibitions and events, both internal and
external. KPF has participated in MIPIM, the largest global international
real estate show, for many years, but Kate raised our presence through the
thoughtful development of both our booth and our outreach strategy. This
approach was applied to other international engagements over her 5+ years
to great success. Meanwhile, Kate was also promoted to a managerial role,
given her role as mentor to the junior staff, and, in that capacity, provided
oversight for the graphic design team, coordinating resource allocation and
ensuring the work product was of a KPF standard.
Besides her thorough understanding of the workings of a marketing
department, Kate brings a valuable sense of purpose and appreciation for
precision and quality that is crucial to a firm such as ours whose reputation
is built on not just creative but well executed work. I believe she will be an
asset to you as she was for us for many years.
