A real-time Safety Recognition Program that focused on exceptional safety behaviors in our Production and Warehouse environments. It helped Supervisors and Managers to keep team members interested and excited about Safety, and employees enjoyed the access to fun rewards.

2.  Exceptionally Safe Behaviors
Examples:
 Employee (EE) sees someone trying to lift of move something that is a little too heavy or awkward for them to handle. EE walks
over and helps this person lift or move the item.
 EE observes someone who is hurrying because they are having trouble keeping up with the work pace or machine output. EE
walks over and helps this person catch up. EE then informs LD/SPV that more help is needed in that location.
 Correcting or Reporting Unsafe Behaviors
Examples:
 EE observes a Coworker not wearing proper PPE or wearing PPE improperly. EE asks/reminds Coworker to correct the
situation.
 EE observed a Coworker who is not properly following LOTO requirements. EE asks/reminds Coworker to correct the situation.
 EE observes a Coworker lifting improperly or not following the 2-person/50-lb. Limit rule. EE shows the Coworker how to lift
properly, or reminds them about the rule.
 EE observed a Coworker running through the plant or on property. EE asks/reminds Coworker to walk, not run.
 EE observes a Forklift/EPJ operator who is not sounding their horn frequently. EE ask/reminds the Operator about using their
horn.
 Correcting or Reporting Unsafe Conditions
Examples:
 EE comes upon a wet floor area, but no Wet Floor signs were placed. EE finds and places Wet Floor signs to warn other EEs.
 EE comes upon an area where objects/trash have been left on the floor (possible trip hazard). EE picks up the trash and/or
stores the objects properly.
 EE observes that a machine may be malfunctioning and creating a possible Safety hazard for nearby workers. EE reports the
problem right away to their SPV, Safety and/or Maintenance for follow-up. (Ex. QA (EE) repeatedly reported a ‘nitrogen leak’ at
Cryogenic Tunnel, until we investigated and did WO to fix the cause).

3.  Comportamientos Excepcionales de Seguro
Ejemplos:
 Empleado (EE) ve a alguien tratando de levantar o mover algo que es demasiado pesado o incómodo para que puedan
manejar. EE camina y ayuda a esta persona a levantar o mover el objeto.
 EE observa a alguien que se apresura porque tiene problemas para mantenerse al día con el ritmo de trabajo o la salida de la
máquina. EE camina y ayuda a esta persona a ponerse al día. EE luego informa al LD / SPV de que se necesita más ayuda en
esa ubicación.
 Corregir o reportar comportamientos inseguros
Ejemplos:
 EE observa que un compañero de trabajo no usa el PPE apropiado o usa el PPE incorrectamente. EE le pide / le recuerda a su
compañero de trabajo que corrija la situación.
 EE observó a un compañero de trabajo que no cumple adecuadamente los requisitos de LOTO. EE le pide / le recuerda a su
compañero de trabajo que corrija la situación.
 EE observa que un compañero de trabajo levanta indebidamente o no sigue la regla de 2-personas / 50-lb. Regla de límite. EE
muestra al compañero de trabajo cómo levantar correctamente, o les recuerda acerca de la regla.
 EE observó a un compañero de trabajo corriendo por la planta o en la propiedad. EE le pide / le recuerda a su compañero de
trabajo que camine, no corra.
 EE observa un operador de montacargas / EPJ que no suena el claxon con frecuencia. EE pregunta / recuerda al Operador
sobre el uso del claxon.
 Corrección o notificación de condiciones inseguras
Ejemplos:
 EE se encuentra sobre una superficie de piso mojado, pero no se colocaron letreros de piso húmedo. EE encuentra y coloca
letreros de piso húmedo para advertir a otros EE.
 EE se encuentra en un área donde se han dejado objetos / basura en el suelo (posible riesgo de resbalón). EE recoge la basura
y / o almacena los objetos correctamente.
EE observa que una máquina puede estar funcionando mal creando un posible peligro para la seguridad de los trabajadores cercanos.
EE reporta el problema de inmediato a su SPV, Seguridad y / o Mantenimiento para el seguimiento. (Ex. QA EE reportó repetidamente
una "fuga de nitrógeno" en el Túnel Criogénico, hasta que investigamos e hicimos un WO para arreglar la causa).
