Megaroller PolyLite Rollers are made from the purest and highest
quality high-density polyethylene, using the latest technologies
and according to strict manufacturing standards for superior
performance and longevity. Polylite rollers incorporate all the
proven benefits of our heavy duty roller with the difference being
the exclusion of the steel reinforcement across the face. PolyLite
Rollers are available in the following variations:
Standard
HDPE has an extremely high resistance to wear by abrasion and
Ultra-Violet radiation. Megaroller's patented Sealing
Arrangement allows these rollers to be used in the harshest
weather conditions and in moisture rich environments.
Anti-seize
The roller utilises Megaroller's innovative Anti-seize technology,
comprising of a side flinger which remains static while the roller
body rotates. This protects the sealing arrangement against any
spillage that could get lodged between the shaft and the roller's
side face and acts as a shield during high pressure cleaning. Our
Anti-seize rollers are ideal for dusty environments like cement
factories and crusher plants.
Advanced Sealing Arrangement (Patent number 99/5238)
Megaroller's patented Sealing Arrangement, consisting of a back
seal, a shock-resistant bearing cover, an outer seal, and four
low-friction contact lip seals has proven to be the most effective
sealing arrangement available on the market. This unique sealing
arrangement is non-corrosive, has an extremely low friction
coefficient, and is highly resistant to chemicals, dust, water and
wear.
Highly Durable HDPE Roller Shell:
The Roller body consist of an HDPE shell extruded from the best
available HDPE, under stringent quality control practices by
Megaroller's own state of the art machinery. The roller shell is
precision machined, eliminating any inconsistencies, and ensuring
the most perfectly concentric roller available on the market. The
exclusion of the 2mm steel tube, commonly used in our heavy duty
roller, differentiates the two products.
High-impact Bearing and Seal Housing (Patent Number
2001/6883)
Megaroller's patented Bearing and Sealing Housing is injection
moulded in-house from virgin grade HDPE to ensure precision and
eliminate the risk of misalignment and distortion. Due to its
innovative design, the Bearing and Sealing housing is able to
absorb the impact imposed by uneven loads and belt speed. The
patent includes the heat fusion process used to permanently
secure the bearing housing to the roller shell, to form a totally
sealed and aligned roller drum, which is precision machined to a
concentricity (TIR) specification of less than 0.2mm maximum.

Lubricated for Life
Bearing lubrication is an important factor affecting the theoretical lifespan of any
conveyor roller. Bearings are lubricated during manufacturing and placed in a
protective housing that is completely sealed by our unique sealing arrangement.
This eliminates the need to lubricate at user level, prevents the risk of over or
under lubrication, and mitigates the risk of bearing failure due to lack of
lubrication.
