Shakesperian Times!
Final Task:
We will inviteparentstoshare a lovelyafternoonwiththeirkids.
The ideais to playgamesthat we playedinthose times. We will dothisactivityin
the PearsonHall.
Kidswill be wearingsimilaroutfitstothe oneschildrenusedtowear.
There will be kind of “tents”or “corners”where theywill be able toplaywiththeirparents.

Quarterstaff contest.
Skittles
Quoits
Bear beating
Can toss.
1 st week :Meeting Shakespeare.
2nd week: Clothes and Houses.
3rd week: Games in Elizabethean times.
1st period:
We will show the kids a picture of W.S and ask them if they know who he is.
We will then tell them he was born a looong time ago! 1564.
We will watch the following video to learn more about his life.

DAY 2.
We`ll watch the video again and revise what we learnt last class.
Then, we will play a memotest with the following words.

Then, the kids will be given this photocopy to complete and stick in their
copybooks.
DAY3
Romeo and Juliet!
We`ll watch the following video.

Then altogether we will draw the most important events. So as to help them out we will
give them pictures of Gnomeo and Juliet. And we`ll encourage children to think why are
those characters called like this. (Adaptation)
This is Romeo Montague.
This is Juliet Capulet.
They met at a party.
Their families hate each other!
Romeo visited Juliet. (Balcony Scene)
They got married!
It ended in a tragedy.
As homework, the kids will be asked to watch the film at home and colour the
following photocopy.
DAY4.
The teacher will elicit information from Shakespeare’s times. Then, she will ask about clothing.
What didpeople wear?Didtheywearjeans?Askstsreplyshe will writedownnotes.Studentswill
watch “Shakespeare in Love” trailer. They will have to pay attention to the clothes they used.
