INTRODUCTION

4.  Technology is everywhere nowadays, and using it
excessively may have negative effects on mental health.
 In Bangladesh, around 16.8% of adults face mental health
issues, and we want to explore how technology overuse
contributes to this.
 There's limited knowledge and discussion about the
impact of technology overuse on mental health in our
country, and I want to help fill that gap for the benefit
of everyone.
 Moreover, excessive technology use can lead to laziness
and neglect of physical health.
BACKGROUND STUDY

5. LITERATURE REVIEW
 Ibrahim TAŞ tested whether depression, anxiety, stress, social support, and resilience have a
significant effect on predicting internet addiction. The study found that depression, anxiety,
and stress were positively associated with internet addiction. [1]
 Anku M. Saikia found a significant association between internet addiction and depression,
anxiety, and stress. The study showed that there was a high prevalence of depression (85.7%)
and anxiety (83.3%) in the participants addicted to the internet. [2]
 Feten Fekih-Romdhane found that technology addiction negatively influences users’ emotional
and social functioning and correlates with the presence of psychopathologies such as
depression and anxiety. [3]
 Miloš Stanković in his article, one view is that psychopathological phenomena, such as
depression and anxiety, may lead to technology overuse [4]
