Clear away trash, trim bushes, mow the grass and add a colourful pot of flowers to
the porch or stoop. Fresh flowers inside brighten, as well.
Replace light bulbs, indoors and out, and repair and touch up exterior items like
chipped paint, dirt smudges around doorknobs, broken banisters or fencing, torn
screens, a leaning mailbox (or one that flaps open).

scrubbed and sprayed with an anti-mold spray to bleach away all traces of mold.

7. Dust and cobwebs should be cleared away and surfaces cleaned and dusted.
New handles and knobs can give cabinets a pick-me-up, and cabinet doors can be
inexpensively resurfaced. Touch up paint can cover chips and nicks. Appliance
surfaces should be cleaned, and stainless steel covers can be purchased to put
over still-functional but worn appliances. And remember, a $25 can of white or
