Popular music in 1970`s was: Motown,disco, pop, heavy
metal.
In 1970`s there was a lot of new groups and there was a big
growth in the music industry.
It was also when Elvis Presley died, and when they used vinyl
records.

Popular fashion in 1970`s for males was: Lots of hair, baggy
pants, big collars, suits, Afro`s and perms.
Popular fashion in 1970`s for females was: Lots of hair,
perms, long skirts, short shorts and flared pants.
Fashion in the 1970`s was very important to most people it
was like the life for everyone.

Popular T.V. in 1970`s was: Top of the pops, faulty towers, z-
cars, thats life and blue peter.
In 1970`s the first colour T.V.`s became popular they were
small and shaped like a box there was also a lot of dancing
and quiz programs.

Popular movies in 1970`s were: Exorcist, Star Wars
originals, Clockwork orange and Saturday night fever.
Popular Stars were: John Travolter, Paul Newman and Steve
McQueen.
Movies in the 1970`s were in colour and they had sound the
quality of movies in the 1970`s increased greatly.

Popular games in 1970`s were: Space Invaders, Cards,
Monopoly, Vic 20, Cludo and Airfix.
In 1970`s there was also the first home computers and kids
all used to have push bikes styled as chopper bikes.
It was also when kids played outside and spent every day
with their friends.

In the 1970`s there was a minor strike and a lot of work
strikes.
There was also a 3 day week were they would only have
certain days with electricity.
As well it was the end of the Vietnam war and when there
were a lot of work shortages.

There was a very high crime rate but the crimes were small
crimes.
Police were more respected and so were elders.
There was no laws like the seatbelt, drink driving laws and
no speed cameras.

The cost of living in England changed due to the decimal
currency changing.
It was also a worrying time because the U.K joined the E.U.
During the 1970`s the house price increased dramatically
around 70%.

Schools in the 1970`s were very strict, strict rules and strict
uniforms.
There was not many electronics in the school in that time no
computers. Some schools though had big calculator
machines.
The learning style was very different and teaches used a very
boring learning style.
