Directions:
Step 1: Weigh out 10 ½ oz. of Pillar of Bliss Wax on scales.
Step 2: Place the wax into a pouring pot. Using the double boiler method as described in one of
our classes, melt wax on low on the stove until the wax is completed melted. Get three empty
clamshells ready.
Step 3: Preparing Orange Layer: Pour 1/3 of the melted wax into a paper bowl. Using a
toothpick, dip the tip of the toothpick into the bottle of orange liquid candle dye, and then use the
coloring on the toothpick to color the wax in the bowl orange. Add 1 tsp. of candy corn fragrance
oil. Stir. Keep remaining melted wax on stove at a low temp setting.
Step 4: Bend the side of the paper bowl to make a pour spout, and quickly pour the orange layer
into all three clamshells. The orange layer should fill the clamshells only 1/3 of the way full. Allow
this layer to set up.
Step 5: Preparing White Layer: Pour 1/3 of the melted wax into a paper bowl. Add 1 tsp. of
candy corn fragrance oil. Stir. Keep remaining melted wax on stove at a low temp setting.
Step 6: Quickly pour the white layer into all three clamshells. The white layer should fill the
clamshells only 1/3 of the way full. Allow this layer to set up.
Step 7: Preparing Yellow Layer: Pour 1/3 of the melted wax into a paper bowl. Using a
toothpick, dip the tip of the toothpick into the bottle of yellow liquid candle dye, and then use the
coloring on the toothpick to color the wax in the bowl yellow. Add 1 tsp. of candy corn fragrance
oil. Stir.
Step 8: Quickly pour the yellow layer into all three clamshells. The yellow layer should fill the
clamshells the rest of the way. Allow this layer to set up.
Step 9: Break off chunks of the clamshell tart and place them into a potpourri burner and fill your
room with wonderful aroma!
