SPECULATION ON WHY SOME COMPANIES ARE
GLAZING OVER SOCIAL MEDIA
• It’s not that companies aren’t playing…they just don't know the
rules…
• We have become a culture of immediate gratification
• That may be one reason companies are not embracing the
evolution of marketing
• Social media marketing takes time!
• When done correctly, it could take 12-18 months to see
the benefits.
• You have to remain consistent and patient

• Another reason may be that people are
afraid of change, and technology
• With a simple systematic approach you
too can enjoy the benefits of a well
implemented Social Media Strategy

• Getting “Heard” is hard work
• there is a lot of “noise” on the social media platforms
• Your content must be stellar to break through the
noise
• Your visual content must be compelling enough for
someone to stop on your post
• You must be entertaining enough to keep them
watching and coming back for more
EVOLUTION OF MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA
• Print (arrow)Radio (arrow)TV (arrow)Internet (Maybe find graphics of
each and use with the words below. Arrows in between showing how
we moved from print to radio…etc.)
• With the increased use of DVRs, and Satellite radio…the days of
traditional marketing are quickly slipping away
• Companies now have to compete for your attention on Social Media
sites.
• Visual content
• Stories sell
• Mobile Mobile Mobile!
• Take a look around. How many phones can you see?
• Where is your phone right now?
• You must include Mobile Marketing into your strategy
WHERE WE FIT IN
• With simple strategies, you too can get
hearts(picture of heart) on instagram, shares
(pic of share icon) on facebook, repins (picture
of repin) on Pinterest, and retweets(picture of
twitter bird?) on Twitter.
• Be Giving, Be Informative, Be Entertaining,
• “Be Yourself…everyone else is taken”
