- Global access to operatic performances
 Access to cultural performances for students
with an interest in the arts can be limited for
cost reasons and if not staged locally.
 Òpera Oberta (Open Opera) provides a
solution with performances made accessible
exclusively to universities registered with the
Liceu Theatre in Barcelona, Spain.

 Operatic performances are broadcast using multicast technology to participating universities.
 Each performance is supported with learning materials, including a lecture before each opera,
images and archived documentation.
 Students can receive course credits for their virtual attendance.
 Average of 1300 students per performance at over 40 universities in Spain, Greece, Colombia,
Ecuador and Mexico.
