A
world renowned
expert on Human
Resources man-
agement is in
town with his new
product to take
the Sri Lankan
market to the next level aiming to
expand the career opportunities
locally and globally.
Richard Cowley is here to launch
his new product- CareerLine.com, a
comprehensive personal career
management tool for individuals to
manage and develop their careers
in Sri Lanka targeting the thou-
sands of youths who passed out
from the universities but they don’t
know what to pursue as their
career.

WorkAmmo has introduced this
career management solution,
CareerLine aimed at people over
the age of thirteen, the platform
allows you to build your resume
online and provides assistance in
managing your career, irrespective
of what stage you are it.
Amid his busy schedule of pres-
entations to government officials,
conglomerates and students on var-
ious topics including career choice
advice and selecting the “Right per-
son for the job” Work Ammo found-
er Richard Cowley agreed for a
mini interview with the Education
Times.
“We are here to improve the qual-
ity of talent entering the workforce
in the Srilankan work force market
and enable individuals to take
charge of their own careers.” he
said.
CareerLine.com is a comprehen-
sive personal career management
tool that has ignited a huge aware-
ness and consciousness in the way
individuals manage and develop
their careers.
“ As of any other country who
witnessed a three decades of civil
war, I see how Sri Lanka is emerg-
ing to meet the global market with
increasing career opportunities
back in home and foreign, there is a
good demand for the Srilankan
work force in aboard. I am here to
help those of who planning to
reach their pinnacle of success
through right planning and career
choices.” he said.
This platform transferred owner-
ship of the career journey to the
individual by empowering them to
make career decisions that are
informed, objective and result ori-
ented, rather than leaving their
processional growth to chance and
manager discretion.
“ The careeline platform is help-
ing the users to design their own
career path with advanced plan-
ning. Its servers automatically gen-
erates the data of every person reg-
istered with and recommends for
matching with relevant companies
which are looking to fill their
human resources sector,” Mr
Cowley said.
Unlike the most of the websites
which car ries the typical
Curriculum Vitae (CV), the career
line records the almost everything
of a person’s professional life to
give a clear idea of who is he and
what he is capable of.
Explaining why hiring the right
person for the right job is difficult
and complex, Mr Cowley said as
long as candidates and recruiters
are people, there will always be dif-
ferences of opinions and strange
motivations of candidates.
This is where the Career Line.
com plays a major role to connect
people globally with a core struc-
ture with templates, and a robust
disciplined process which will make
sure the best chance of selected. ,
CareerLine.com is a mobile app
that helps users to update their pro-
files on-the-go. The primary focus
of the platform is to guide individu-
als to focus on their career rather
than the job.
This app claims to incorporate
simple yet effective features help-
ing the individuals to learn and
enhance their learning. The plat-
form serves consumers with the
content which can complement
their interests and is based on their
professional or educational history.
According to Cowley, the tool
allows individuals to make job
choices based on their education
and preferences. It helps them to
stay relevant for a long time. It pre-
vents individuals from falling pray
to odd jobs that has no relation to
their educational and work history.
It assertively enables individuals
to take control of their career,
starting with young people aged
thirteen at the cusp of educational
choice, all the way through to post-
retirees.
The tool also allows individuals
to plot out their career journey-
their history, present, and their
future goals- all in one place,
allowing them to reflect on where
they have been and where they
want ti go.
A private space for life, a place to
define career aspirations, docu-
ment career milestones, receive
help to develop career and finally
help to deliver career pushing jobs
based on the profile and preferenc-
es. CareerLine.com is for any cate-
gory of employee, full-time, part-
time, contingent worker.
While shifting the focus from
jobs to careers, the online platform
believes that with the right tools
and guidance, individuals can
build successful careers they love
and own.

The theme of this event was

stood as testimony to the words of the school song “unity

students of the institution.
Students, who proved their stance and potential in aca-
demic excellence, once again stood by the school motto
“Advancement in knowledge”. The stars of the evening
were awarded for the academic excellence in the interme-
diate & senior category to Maryam Mubeen & Maryam
Wazil respectively. Nuha Rishafy, former head girl,
received the award for leadership, dedicated service & loy-
alty to the school. The installation ceremony of the train-
ee prefects was another event which added grace to this
occasion.

who have excelled in diverse disciplines offered by recog-
nized institutions of Sri Lanka and abroad such as medi-
cine, law, accountancy and psychology. Staff members
who had rendered their dedicated service
to the school were also felicitated at this
occasion.
