We stand proud of the capable and enthusiastic staff who have made this happen.
We have provided leading edge document management solutions to the Engineering
and Construction industry that simplify the access and management of project
documents.
With a background of more than 20 years of software development; and a combined
40+ years’ experience in the E&C industry gained through my partner’s and my
experience as engineers, our cloud-based collaboration technology and solutions
continue to be developed in partnership with our clients and their business needs.
We firmly believe that document management remains the ‘life-blood’ on all major
projects, a fact that is often overlooked.
Our position as the innovators of the leading platform in Infrastructure in Australia, has,
in the last 24 months seen us implement more than 100 infrastructure projects valued
at more than $80 billion placing TeamBinder well ahead of competitive products in the
market. TeamBinder is now: the most widely used document collaboration platform
in Australia for the Infrastructure sector.
The QA Software Development and Technical team headed by our technology authority
Y. Sivaram, continues to receive glowing tributes and feedback from clients that helps
provide a range of new ideas for further enhancements.

Melbourne Metro Rail Authority / Level Crossing Removal
Authority
Melbourne Metro Rail Authority (MMRA), Level Crossings Removal Authority (LXRA) and
Public Transport Victoria (PTV), have jointly selected TeamBinder as the project information
management solution for the Victorian Government’s Melbourne Metro project.
Under the auspices of the Victorian Department of Economic Development, Jobs,
Transport and Resources (DEDJTA), MMRA and LXRA will deliver two of the state’s most
significant transport infrastructure projects worth a combined $17 billion over the course
of the next 10 years.
Some of the key TeamBinder benefits of interest to the triumvirate are: connecting the vast
number of collaborating parties and managing workflows together with version control,
controlled, automated distribution and download verification, access via mobile apps,
status management and a clear and complete audit trail with powerful reporting capability.
Integration with existing DEDJTA systems is a further benefit that will be delivered through
the adoption of TeamBinder.
Melbourne Metro is one of Australia’s largest ever public transport infrastructure projects
and Victoria’s most complex rail upgrade in decades. Over the next eight years the Level
Crossing Removal Authority will oversee the removal of 50 dangerous and congested
level crossings across Melbourne.
This win is a further endorsement of TeamBinder’s position as the most widely used
project information management solution for the infrastructure sector, having garnered
as clients, the transport departments of NSW, WA, SA and, now, the Victoria state
government.
Origin Energy
TeamBinder was selected in 2011 to manage project knowledge for the Australia Pacific
LNG project, a $30 billion joint venture between Origin Energy and Conoco Phillips to
deliver a coal seam gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Queensland.
With more than 800,000 documents and hundreds of new individual users logging onto
the project each month, QA Software continues to support this vast project with all the
complexities of the construction industry and one of Australia’s largest LNG projects.
The flexibility in TeamBinder’s configuration as well as the robust scalability of the system
has continued to serve the project as it reaches significant milestones.

5. Lend Lease Engineering
QA Software has provided project collaboration solutions to Lend Lease Engineering
since 2005, helping to manage the delivery of more than 50 projects during this time.
The company is proud of the relationship fostered and today with a continued stream
of projects from the entire breadth of the business, TeamBinder continues to contribute
to the successful delivery of projects and subsequent growth of this major player in the
Australian Engineering and Construction industry.
UGL
The diversity of UGL projects is significant across sectors including rail, infrastructure,
power and defence. QA Software has provided project knowledge management
solutions to UGL since 2005.
The variety of UGL projects utilising TeamBinder today remains representative of their
entire business operations from the Newman to Roy Hill High-Voltage Power System
in the Pilbara, WA to defence projects across Australia. TeamBinder is also used to
help manage projects from the construction of major rail networks and systems to the
maintenance of Royal Australian Navy Frigates.

Kiewit - North America
Kiewit, North America’s 4th largest and most respected engineering, construction and
mining organisation has chosen TeamBinder for all its project needs.
The employee owned company operates through a network of offices and projects in the
United States, Canada and Australia.
Kiewit uses TeamBinder enterprise-wide across all of its divisions for the delivery of more
than 100 projects each year in industries from Building and Mining; to Oil and Gas and
Power; Transport to Water and Wastewater.
Kiewit utilises the full suite of integration options available through TeamBinder including
Sharepoint Integration as well as taking on TeamBinder’s ability to meet the specific
workflows of the business.
The Klang Valley MRT (Mass Rapid Transport) – Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia
TeamBinder was selected for the MRT project following a thorough tender and evaluation
process, comparing solutions from around the world to provide a project documentation
and correspondence system for this $5 billion project.
The project presented a number of immediate challenges, including the processing of
more than 60,000 hard copy documents, requiring them to be imported into the project
document management system. QA Software developed a solution to provide OCR
scanning so all content is indexed and searchable within TeamBinder.
Testament to TeamBinder’s international reputation the project is supported by a local
QA Software team, based in Kuala Lumpur, as well as management and development
teams in Melbourne and Colombo.
Yokogawa Engineering - Asia
Yokogawa Engineering Asia has selected TeamBinder for a range of projects in Singapore.
Set up in 1974, Yokogawa Singapore has earned a reputation in the South-east Asian
region as one of the most reliable suppliers of process control instrumentation for the
following industries: oil and gas, refining and petrochemicals, chemicals, pulp and paper,
food, pharmaceuticals, water/waste-water treatment, power and desalination, pipelines,
LNG, terminals, etc.
As a Corporate client for multiple Engineering projects, Yokogawa users have undertaken
intensive general user training in Singapore.
Yokogawa Engineering Asia is particularly keen to have TeamBinder as a single source of
truth with one consolidated and collaborative system for all project teams to use.
TeamBinder’s Active Directory Single Sign On is one of the more important features
requested by Yokogawa among a range of other attributes including Review and Approval.
Yokogawa Engineering Asia (YEA) is the Sales, Engineering and Services headquarters
for the ASEAN region.

7. China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation -
ADCO Mender Oilfield, UAE
CPECC, affiliated with China National Petroleum Corporation - China’s largest oil
and gas producer and supplier – working with counterparts in the UAE has chosen
TeamBinder for its Mender Oilfield project in the UAE.
The US$330 million project sees ADCO, an onshore petroleum firm in Abu Dhabi join
with CPECC for a development project at the UAE’s southern Mender Oilfield.
The joint project between China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation
(CPECC) and Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) will help boost
ADCO’s daily crude production from 1.4 million barrels to 1.8 million by 2017.
TeamBinder has been selected under a Corporate Agreement for up to ten projects with
approximately 240 CPECC users and unlimited external company users on modules
including Correspondence, Documents, Transmittals, Workflow, Packages including
TenderDocs, TeamView and Administration..
Arabian Industries - AI Projects
AI Projects (AIP), a subsidiary of the holding company Arabian Industries, is equipped
for the most challenging projects across the EPC project lifecycle sectors in the Middle
East and North Africa Region.
AIP’s multi-disciplinary expertise and background ensures its clients have access
to a “one-stop shop”, both onshore and offshore, for delivery assurance in project
management, engineering, procurement, logistics and warehousing, fabrication,
construction, transportation and installation, and facilities commissioning.
Utilising AI Group Companies AIM, AITS and AIES and its strategic Joint Venture
Partners, AIP is able to ensure innovative and cost effective engineering solutions for the

management and collaboration system. TeamBinder manages, stores,
and distributes information in the form of controlled documents and

12. QDMS - Drawing and Document Control
The QDMS Document Management System was developed in 1995 based on a Master
Document Register, which stores only the latest version of documents, as they are
received. QDMS uses a transmittal engine to control the distribution of documents and
maintains a Recipient Document Register or Distribution Matrix automatically.
The key objective of QDMS is to ensure that recipients are kept up to date with the
latest revision of documents. Working on a project with the wrong revision, is one of
the most common reasons for rework on sites, which can amount to enormous cost
blowouts. This is often not able to be traced due to poor document control processes.
Defect Inspector - Defect and Punch List Management
Defect Inspector is a PC + Mobile device based system for managing building and
engineering inspections and the recording of defects and other inspection results,
streamlining the process of managing the close-out of defects as projects near
practical completion.
Defect Inspector is the ideal solution for an organisation needing to manage defects
without the need for hardcopy check lists, spreadsheets and loads of data entry and
eliminating the need to rectify outstanding defects - both before, and after practical
completion.
QMS - Materials Control (Oil and Gas Industry)
QA Software’s Materials Management System, QMS is a fully integrated system for
managing all phases of the material management process, from Bills of Material
through to receipt in store and issues to the field. It is designed to handle large
volumes of data quickly and effectively.

The key emerging trend for 2016 is the mesh, which includes all of the devices
used to access - applications, services and information including the Internet
of Things (IoT) and, the Internet of Everything (IoE) that produces enormous
volumes of data.
The challenge is to keep these devices talking to each other providing useful
filtered information.
While it may not be transparent to end users, security and seamless integration
between the connected application and information become even more critical
for the success and adaptation of these key trends.
For example, you would not want your Smart Car’s air conditioner, controlled by
a hacker on a hot summer’s day!
At QA Software, security and seamless integration between applications –
our own and external - are regarded as paramount. In addition to the standard
security measures ranging from our ISO 27001 Certified Data Centre to data
encryption, we engage a third party independent security specialist organisation
to conduct regular quarterly application penetration tests which coincide with our
application upgrade cycles.
This testing ensures any potential security issues are identified and addressed,
ensuring that end users always have access to a secure system.
As a provider of a collaborative solution, we understand our clients’ needs
and are committed to providing a range of solutions to meet many and varied
requirements including ‘out of the box’ integration with products like ERP
Systems, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit and
records management systems such as HP Records Manager (TRIM).
These integrations provide seamless and functional data communication with
TeamBinder, allowing end-users to use the individual applications as a single
system with a more enhanced user experience. In addition, we understand that
when it comes to integration every organisation’s requirement is different. Hence,
we also provide a generic API interface, based on web services, a standard that

a rich and diverse background as engineers, their expertise is combined with IT skills and
Sales and Marketing know-how of its key people to provide an all-round practical and robust

Russell Mortimer, Chief Executive Officer
Having practised for two decades as an engineer, co-founder Russell Mortimer brings to his
role a hands-on, practical working knowledge of the Engineering and Construction industry.
With offices in Australia, Sri Lanka, the USA and UK, Russell and his partner, Steven Joustra
manage a team of more than 80 staff and oversee all aspects of the company’s operations
from R&D and Global Customer Service to Sales and Marketing.
Steven Joustra, General Manager, International Operations
Co-founder, Steven Joustra grew the organisation with his partner, Russell Mortimer working
with thousands of global customers in areas spanning major infrastructure, commercial,
building, oil, gas and other construction projects.
With extensive practical engineering experience and a diverse knowledge of the industry,
both Steven and Russell have incorporated their combined 40-year working knowledge into
QA Software.
Robert Bryant, Chief Operating Officer
With a long tenure at QA Software as GM Sales and Marketing, Robert’s new role as Chief
Operating Officer at QA Software is one that fits perfectly with his deep understanding of the
operations of the company as well as the industry in which it operates.
Robert’s experience in the cloud collaboration space for the E&C sector has evolved with
the company’s growth in the past 24 months, attaining the status of the most widely used
information management system for infrastructure projects in Australia.
Robert works closely with the CEO and the management team to drive a continued program
of product development and service delivery for QA Software’s international and Australian
client base focussed always on exceeding expectations.

Y. Sivaram, Chief Technical Officer
As Chief Technical Officer, Sivaram’s role at QA Software is one that is borne from a high-level
of technical prowess.
A key member of the organisation for a decade and a half, Sivaram is the mastermind behind
the accessibility, functionality and ease of use for which QA Software products are renowned.
He was involved in the initial research phase for the launch of the company’s innovative
product, TeamBinder, investigating new technologies to determine how best to design the
software with user-friendliness foremost in his mind. Sivaram focuses on devising simple,
yet highly effective solutions that are the cornerstone of the TeamBinder experience.
Working closely with the Directors, he finds innovation both encouraging and fulfilling.

16. Asela Goonatilleke, Manager, Technical Development
Asela Goonatilleke’s expertise in software technology has grown alongside that of the
company.
After graduating with a diploma in Computer Studies in Sri Lanka, Asela commenced a trainee
programming position with QA Software’s Sri Lankan branch of operations where he worked
for six years before being seconded to the QA team in Australia.
Asela is closely aligned to the development of QA Software’s leading product, TeamBinder,
having been among the first to work on the product’s implementation and ensuring its
ease of use, receiving ongoing acknowledgement from the company’s customer base
as to its efficacy.
Andrew Thompson, Manager, Client Support
As Manager, Client Support, Andrew’s role involves maintaining a high quality of customer
service delivery via the Help Desk.
Andrew’s passion for technology and a love of working with people has placed him in a role
at QA Software that was made for him. With a team of more than 10 to guide and coordinate
in Australia and Sri Lanka, Andrew is keen to ensure that the 24x7x365 support that is given
to customers remains at the heart of the business.
A dedicated customer service professional, with a wealth of rich experience in inbound
customer support, Andrew and his team - work closely with the CEO, project delivery,
development and technical teams - to deliver quality customer service that exceeds the
expectations of both the business and clients. With exceptional communication and
leadership skills and an intimate knowledge of web-based collaboration solutions,
Andrew’s role sees him managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships that bring
about optimal levels of customer care and satisfaction.
Zafar Issadeen, Manager, Project Delivery
One of QA Software’s key implementation specialists, Zafar has a deep understanding of
TeamBinder and its benefit to clients and is well-placed in the role of client engagement to
enable the smooth delivery of a project.
Zafar’s knowledge across the company’s range of products ensures that clients’ requirements
are met to optimum standards through product implementation leading into the client
engagement process - post implementation.
Zafar’s extensive experience as an ICT Advisor with KPMG and previously as a business
analyst provides him with a broad perspective on business operations. His degree in
Information Systems and certification as an Information Systems Auditor and Systems Security
Professional ensure Zafar is also able to contribute to the development of solutions in complex
and demanding implementation and system configuration consultation processes.
