Dr. Hirsch is Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Florida. Dr.
Hirsch received his BSME degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in mechanical engineering, and MAE
and Sc.D. from the University of Virginia in aerospace engineering. From 1988–1999, Dr. Hirsch served as
Dean of Engineering and Associate Vice President at the University of Florida.
