− Monitoring month end sale with average trend and derive Material Requirement Plan item wise and vendor
wise.
− Micro monitoring of critical items on daily / periodic basis to ensure uninterrupted flow, zero stock-out and
maximize manpower utilization.
− Planning & processing of indents, purchase orders based on firm & rolling plan in ERP environment.
− Administering the overall purchase system to maintain a parity in demand vs flow for optimum Customer
Satisfaction
• Inventory, Raw Material Flow & Inbound Logistics Control
− Judicially formulating month end Lead, consumption, safety stock, WIP to achieve targeted Inventory
Levels through KANBAN, HEIJUNKA and other best practices.
− Issuing pickup advice as required, assigning the mode of transport and controlling the in warding from Freight
Forwarder warehouse to ensure optimized material intake. Also fine tuning the same at month and quarter
end to achieve the desired inventory target levels and at the same time ensuring safe entry for production.
− Improving supply LT through process improvement at vendor’s end to optimize stock level & recover FC.
− Efficient Internet Based Purchasing to explore prospective, cost effective & high quality source.
• Activity Based Costing
− Detailed estimation based on available drawing for contract negotiation.
− Study of the technical parameters, drawings and processes at vendors end to redefine cost wherever
applicable by actual time study, consumption and by-product measurement at vendor’s place.
− Measuring PPV and variance factors time to time and exploring the market to cross verify the price standards
and take necessary decisions for alternate if applicable on the rating criterions.
• Strategic Sourcing
− Exploring the broader market for related product / raw material and evaluating suitability for better price and
logistics.
− Studying the best options for make or buy conditions by actual calculation of in-house cost vs outside
procurement.
− Mitigating any crisis situation and thinking in “Out-of the Box” concept for manufacturing the critical component
/ product through sourcing excellence.
− Taking strategic decision to enter into agreements with vendors for win-win situation and changing their tax
and statutory registration status e.g Excise as and where applicable for extracting maximum benefit of supply
cost.
• VDQA & Process Excellence
− Vendor selection, estimation and process stabilization for new products right from drawings received from
R&D.
− Problem solving, reverse routing & regularizing changes in liaison with R&D till product handover & roll
out.
− Assigning SMART objectives to Vendors & reviewing periodically to ensure consistent performance in QCD
aspects.
− Coordinating various quality issues to vendor and enforcing the necessary RCCM, CAPA & 8D if required.
− Introducing SPC at vendors point in liaison with QC for consistency of items and reduce Cost for Quality.
• EHS, Kaizen, Lean & CBS
− Study of Process Map w.r.t product TAKT time, Waste Identification, MIFA plotting & Value Stream
Mapping.
− Playing active role in Lean Team for establishing single piece flow and spearheaded many Kaizen
Projects.
− Marinating Communication Cell Board with 3Cs and OCC & established 5S at allotted area shop floor.
− Educating vendors of company’s EHS policy, use of PPE and adopting safe working procedure.
− Near miss reporting as per KPI and advising the necessary corrective actions to avoid any major incidents
