1) Presently working with Syniverse Technologies as a System Engineer (From May 24th
2012 till the date).
Project Description:
Syniverse Technologies, an industry pioneer and innovator for more than 25 years, is committed to
simplifying the business and technical complexities of mobile communications. It plays a crucial role
of clearing house which ensures processing and maintaining the complex billing information between
operators effectively. Maintain Operators AA.14, which is accessible to client through a Web-based
interface (Roaming Information Service). The project is having different streams viz., developing
batch modules, web interfaces, Alarm handling and Operations (Tariff Support).
Projects are Handling & Responsibilities:-
RMS (Roaming Management Service)
Using RMS, you'll have access to the information you need via a centralized data and document
repository that can be queried and used for business intelligence when managing your roaming
partner relationships. RMS is flexible solution is designed with features that will help increase your
roaming revenue through better planning, reporting, monitoring and analysis.
2. Responsibilities:
Organize roaming documents and data securely in an easily accessible centralized
repository.
Simplify AA.14 management and put historical data at customer’s fingertips for quick data
analysis.
Facilitate data mining for strategic roaming management decision making.
Improve resource efficiency.
Eliminate customer service errors through web-enabled tools.
Improve internal communication, giving every RMS user instant access to the most recent
roaming partner AA.14 through our alert manager tool.
Enable compliance to the industry-mandated RAEX format for AA.14.
Tariff preparation:
Tariff Support team of Syniverse CH services is responsible to Setup the Roaming Agreements for
different network operators in the CH system. Validate the Inter Operator Tariffs with operator
provided TAP files on the TEST server/database to ensure that the tariffs used by the roaming
partner are in line with the roaming agreements.
As a System Engineer presently handling National & International operator’s tariff support; preparing
tariff based on the IOT documents provided by the operators and validating them against TAP files to
ensure quality and smooth file flow b/w operators.
TAP Files / CD’rs Handling:
Checking the stopped TAP files to find out the root cause and providing the solution in time to client
and required contacting the customers or operators for clarifications to bring out the positive
solutions.
2) Prior to Syniverse was working MACH INDIA is basically a Data Clearing House that renders its
services in GSM Telecom industry in Mobile Roaming. Around 3.5 years of MACH Teledata System
Pvt Ltd as a Roaming support Officer (From November 3rd 2008 to Macy 18th 2012).
Being a Roaming support officer , major responsibility is Inter Operator Tariff Configuration
and Testing (IOT Testing)
Excellent in Roaming Tariff Creation and Testing.
Excellent in IOT bug replication, Log analysis and test case development.
Implemented tariffs and make them available for the production environment.
Update the new roaming agreements (assignments) to New & existing tariff.
Creating dummy files for Tariff Testing, to maintain the tariff Quality.
Record Level Files investigation the Call records (CDR).
I’m responsible to ensure that there is frequent & smooth flow & exchange of the data
between Roaming partners, GSM operators, providing a quality of service to the clients
Clients Interaction and monitoring of process is the major responsibility.
Other major task involved in making a complete study of data received for roaming w.r.t.o
GSM Operators and making a analysis and reporting the same to clients
Responsibility / Achievements:
Worked on migration of roaming agreement into Link 2 One HUB.
Implemented Link2One process in MACH trained by Telefonica, Spain.
Clearing the TAP / RAP file errors as per the GSM standards.
Handling escalated issues related to clients and other clearing house.

roaming partners for their new launches.

TAP / RAP File Monitoring and Validation: One of my responsibilities involves the monitoring
and validation of Transfer Account Procedure (TAP) / Return Account Procedure (RAP) files for
GSM Telecom Operators on a daily basis. I also repair discrepancies and errors in the TAP / RAP
files which are identified by automated and manual methods. This also involves escalating
complex errors present in the files and coordinating with various internal teams to resolve these
discrepancies.
Training: I provide training to clients / telecom operators on the use of our in-house tools. One
of these tools includes a Portal which allows clients to seamlessly view the movement of TAP /
RAP data in our system. There is also another tool which provides business intelligence support
for operators. I conduct these trainings using virtual meeting tools and by providing live support. I
also mentor new joiners in client and internal teams on the various operations of our business.
Prepare and Schedule CLL (Commercial Launch Letter) with both the Client and
Roaming Partner and update Billing, Legal and Marketing Departments.
Maintenance of Weekly Roaming testing dashboard.
Handling a team of IREG engineers, TADIG testers and backend support.
Understanding of mobile telephony and international roaming architecture, telecom
Business, future technologies and GSMA guidelines on new implementat ions.
Knowledge sharing within intra departments like Sales, Technical Core,
RMS,TADIG,TAP/RAP,IOT, RAEX, NRTRDE etc.
3) Prior to Mach around 2 years of experience as Associate in Aditya Birla Minacs, Bangalore
(from November 10th 2006 to October 22nd 2008).
Process name: MSN Chat (Chat and e-mail support for MSN customers of US and Canada).
