Windows Mobile 6 was released in 2007 and was based on Windows CE 5.2. It included improvements like support for higher screen resolutions of 800x480, the ability to open and edit Office documents directly on smartphones, and new features like operating system updates and VoIP calling. It also included enhancements like Smartfilter for faster searches, Internet sharing to use the device as a modem, and support for AJAX, JavaScript and searching Exchange server address books from mobile devices.
