As we looked at the landscape, we did an RFI We looked at Workday as a technology Needed a service that could Payroll delivery statutory reporting Needed the support of someone who could service our employees in 22 countries ADP has services that complement HR system Execute that payroll from a consistent platform Decided to move forward to Streamline

Our experience Implemented in 5 countries in Europe and 1 in Asia Difference we’ve seen is the governance of the international locations All of the vendors have in-house country providers Quality of your results Everybody has issues, the question is how do you get over the learning curve Getting a service delivery model in place How does your service provider respond? Governance meetings on a quarterly basis to action plans Previous vendors not responsive Need someone who’s committed after the contract is signed Not without issues, but we have a service delivery team that’s committed Share: France as an example of a challenge that led to learning Implementation went quickly and we thought it might be simpler that it was There were sickness and leave components not automated caused data quality issues Worked out and became a learning experience

Looking ahead there are rocess and technology opportunities in four key areas: On-Boarding automation Looking at the onboarding process … making sure that all the data you need to be able to punch in on the store on day 1 Evaluate in sample set of countries Workday to payroll integration Workday payroll data not talking to other system If you’re manual on those calculations—data will never be right Examine Workday – HR system – what data do we need? Where does it live? How do we get that data where we need it? Global standards driven from the U.S aren’t flexible to support European onboarding. You want your system of record to be HR system Payroll system is your system of record Need to get those systems in sync Single point of data entry 3. Timekeeping Integration MK Case Management

We knew a lot of these challenges coming in It would have more helpful for us to have more parallel runs prior to going live We had a short timeline – but wouldn’t have changed our decision We plan to do it for future implementations Allow for the planning Make sure you have time to address those challenges ahead of time Tax year go live dates Longer time to stability What kind of employees do you have – hourly/salaried, also turnover issues Don’t rush – the more lead time you can put into it Payroll is one of those places – the date isn’t going to move and you have to get it right! Commit to going live and get the resources together Work together Keep to the schedule Meetings How many implementations can you handle at once? Learn from it
