Career achivements
I wish to highlight my career as Tannery Manager at M/S King Quality
meat products ltd Zambia where I have managed tannery for four years
with independent charge
1. I managed to reduce pollutants and chemical expenses by reducing
sodium sulfide in cow raw to wet process.This is accomplished by
using a new float system in liming.
2. I have succeeded in using Spirulina Algae in effluent tanks to
improve oxygen level in the effluent water with the help of a kind
of bacteria resulting in good COD/BOD level benefitting living
organisms like small insects, bubble fishes and water monitors
thriving in and around ponds and tilapia fish which is survived in
tannery lagoons.
3. As a result we have proved to the Zambian pollution control
authorities that except salt, all other hazardous chemicals are under
control in our effluent system discharge point.
4. Apart from this, I was successfulin operations like obtaining
permits for pollution control, import, export, labor management,
buying of machinery spares, chemicals, process and quality control
alongside handling customers like M/S Bata Zambia and M/SWillams
SouthAfrica
