2. Rizal’s Visit in Paris
 He was honored by Juan Luna a noted Filipino painter
in the French capital.
 Luna gave a Banquet in his honor!
 Rizal also visited the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris.

3. Rizal’s Visit in Spain
 He visited Madrid and Barcelona to contact his
comrades, Marcelo H. del Pilar and Mariano Ponce.
 This two were met by him for the first time in Madrid.
 Both of them were the forerunners of the propaganda
movement in the Spain.
 It was also an intention of him to see the present
climate change regarding the campaign for reforms
in the Philippines.

 Purpose of the Organization
* Unite Filipinos in Europe in their quest for
reforms in the Philippines .

 A letter written by Rizal as appreciation of him being
elected as an honorary president of the asssociation.

7. La Solidaridad
 Jose Baron Fernandez described this as “ the most
important paper of the Filipinos abroad and most
significant work in connection with the propaganda
movement”.

8. The Launching of the
La Solidaridad
 February 15, 1889 the first association’ s issue of its
work came out.
 It was published in Barcelona.
 Graciano Lopez Jaena was the editor of the paper.
