OLD YELLER

2. MAN OF THE HOUSE
 Travis’s Dad leaves to go on a trip to go get
cash money. Travis is left in charge as the
man of the house. He has more chores now
because he has his papa’s chores.

3. A FRIEND OF ARLISS
 One time Travis walked into the dog run and
there was a big yellow(yeller) dog who was
eating their meat,. Which provided a dog for
Arliss.

4. RUN AWAY DEER
 Since Travis is the man of the house he had
to go out and hunt deer for the family.

5. THE BULL BATTLE
 They are all at home working when two bulls
come out and fight each other.

6. LITTLE CRITTERS
 Arliss goes around and collects small
creatures or sometimes not always small.

7. THE MYSTERIOUS THIEF
 People keep wondering who is stealing the
food from around town then Lisbeth tells him
it was Old Yeller.

8. CREATURES IN THE FIELD
 Old Yeller helps Travis protect the crops from
pests.

9. CLAIMING THE YELLER DOG
 Somebody comes by to claim Old Yeller but
he lets them keep Old Yeller to help protect
the farm since pap is gone.

10. NOTCHING OF THE HOGS
 Every year they have to notch the baby hogs
because then they are claimed to those
families.

11. THE BAT CAVE
 Burn Sanderson tells Travis that he missed a
group of hogs and he had to go out and
notch them at a place near a bat cave.

12. WE’RE PLAYING SICK OLD YELLER
 Old Yeller is hurt so they tell Arliss that they
are playing as though he’s sick so he won’t
jump around and play with Old Yeller.

13. THE SPECKLED PUP
 Where Lisbeth goes and gives Travis the
BEST of Miss Prissy’s pups.

14. A HELPFUL LITTLE GIRL
 Lisbeth stays and helps around at home.

15. THE FIRE
 They have to burn all of the animals with
hydrophobia so that nearby animals don’t eat
them and get rabies.

16. A NUMBING EVENT
 Old Yeller is bitten in the neck by a wolf that
they think has rabies and so they don’t risk
getting rabies they have to kill Old Yeller and
so Travis shoots him.

17. THE ROAN HORSE
 Papa comes home and gives Travis a horse.
