The document summarizes an action research study that examined the effects of creative drama on reading comprehension scores of 5th grade students. The study involved two groups of 25 students each - a control group that received typical reading instruction and a study group that participated in creative drama activities in addition to typical instruction. Both groups were given baseline and post-test reading comprehension assessments. Results showed the study group that engaged in creative drama had greater gains in their reading comprehension scores compared to the control group. The study concluded that using creative dramatics along with regular reading instruction can enhance students' reading comprehension abilities.
