3. Dear TCE Members & Conference Guests:
Welcome to The Career Engineers (TCE) Career, Life & Business Conference and Awards
Luncheon. We are excited that you are here and decided to build REALationships with the
TCE Networking community this weekend. Let me share with you my personal mission
statement for 2012-2013 business season…it’s simply this: Perceive – Think -- Act”, in my
opinion. NOW is the time and this IS the SEASON to use "what you have" to get to "what
you want."
In the spirit of “being ready” here are a couple of things I want you to do to exponentially increase
your critical connectivity this weekend.
• First, CONNECT & INITIATE a REALationship with someone you DON'T KNOW (re-
member a firm handshake…coupled with a wonderful smile are essential tools.)
• Second, SHARE your 30 second "Who I am, What I have & What I Want" message (if
you don’t have one, make sure you see a TCEN member) who will help you initially de-
velopment one this evening.
• Third, DELIVER, GENUINE & AUTHENTIC career and business introductions! No
Scamming, Spamming, High Pressure/False Networking Pitches allowed. TCE is a NO
HUSTLE ZONE & we BUILD REALationships ONLY.
• Third, make sure you CONNECT & ENGAGE with our TCE Conference underwriter,
Norfolk State University's College of Engineering, Science & Technology (CSET); Lunch
Sponsor, WrightPlaceTv.com; 21st Century Panel Sponsor, Congressman & Mrs. Scott
Rigell; Media Sponsor, Cynergy Media Group (CMG) and our TCE Conference Vendors.
Support the businesses and organizations who support TCE programming and events.
Remember, it’s not prospecting, but networking…or as we say at the TCEN, it’s ALL about
building REALationships. That is your challenge this weekend; start building career & busi-
ness REALationships that last. Enjoy your time with us and I promise you…won’t leave here
the same way you came!
