Pros of American Imperialism
 Ideal of democracy spread to Panama.
 The US helped overthrow the rule of Colombia
    over Panama.
 The US also helped overthrow dictator Noriega
    with whom Panama wasn’t happy.
 The US paid money to Panama in order to get
    control of the Panama canal.
Cons of American Imperialism
                 US sovereignty over
                    Panama
                 Panamanians getting
                    hurt due to US military
                    exercises being done
                    where they, by treaty,
                    were not permitted.
 The US was continuously imposing on Panama
because of their military and economic power.
 They imposed with their military because they
liberated Panama from Noriega and Colombia
    and so Panama “Owed” them.
 imposed in an economic way because they paid
Panama to have a free pass in and out of the
    Country.
