The verb be has one special
importance in English because
it depends of the sentence´s
context.
It means “ ser o estar”

EXAMPLES:

I am a teacher / Soy profesor

I am in the class/ Estoy en la clase
 IT USE TO EXPRESS THE
AGE:
 Mary is 20 years old / Maria tiene 20 años


 I am 21 / Yo tengo 21 años


 How old are you? / ¿Cuántos años tienes?
TO EXPRESS THE ACTIONS
     OR FEELINGS :

He is thirsty / Tiene sed
 ALSO TO TALK ABOUT THE
